Eswatini was not founded in the late 1800s. The country started resembling what could be called a nation between 1199 and 1250. Back then we were called bakaNgwane and not Emaswatini. You can call us either both bakaNgwane or Emaswati. The white written history attributes the formation of Eswatini to King Mswati II to whitewash the history. Find a way to ensure that the white men's contribution to the formation of a country is documented. Emaswati originates from Kenya and most of our traditions and practices can be found in isolated places amongst the Basntu people of Kenya.

The picture you showed on your fact #2 is of Late king Sobhuza not Mswati ll. The girl is not chosen at the Umhlanga please note that. The girl goes through a trial first, the umhlanga dance is when she is made official for the country that this one is in line to become King's next wife.

Great video! I am a fan. I’m glad a decision to change the country’s name was implemented as a why to pay homage to the natives & the rich history; and to further denounce the colonial powers that once ruled. I’m just wondering if Christianity would also be denounced seeing that it was also introduced by colonizers 🤔
