Ah, good to see my old friend GP-15 1500. Used to be Wisconsin Northern 1500.

Great Video, I remember the day when those flat cars were on that local a few years back.

1500 got a new road name recently (same paint) and is in use in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Cool video, i like those old Hyster fork lifts loading the train 👍

Those Hysters were leaking hydraulic fluid almost faster than you could pour it in!

Interesting, on Google Maps Street View, you can see on the April 2021 date, this same loco moving some more of these same type loads. Would like to know the story of these, just don't typically see stuff like this moving on flat cars. Thanks for posting

Looking at those old Rail Box cars and remember when those were new and no graffiti was painted on cars back in the 60’s and 70’s.

@@MilePost106 I don’t remember rail box cars in the 60s to be honest

Always wondered if that locomotive ever moved. I see it parked there all the time but have never seen it move. So what does it do? Does it take that load up to a main line where a regular U.P. train takes it where it needs to go?
@frankpresley4942 ай бұрын
The flatcar loads appear to be a modular packing plant refrigeration system. Probably being moved to the Imperial Valley when the harvest season moves to there.
@JoeUser-Somebody2 ай бұрын
Actually the loads were components of a bio-diesel production facility.

I didn't know St Paul & Pacific was still around in Watsonville
@southernpacificfilmstudio23332 ай бұрын
They aren’t, the date in the video is 2020, Roaring Camp handles operations in Watsonville now.
@caltrain908railfan2 ай бұрын
@@southpacificcoastrrproductions They aren’t, the St Paul & Pacific unit in the video got sent to Iowa after Progress Rail stoped their operations on the Santa Cruz Lead. Today there are two CF7s owned by SCBG and they work Watsonville two times a week and take cars from the industries to the Watsonville Junction Yard. The line used to be owned by Progress Rail/St Paul & Pacific but it seems like the SCBG owns the tracks now.

@caltrain908railfan Santa Cruz county owns the branch in pretty sure

Progressive Rail still is the freight carrier. Roaring Camp is the contractor doing the work. The branch line is owned by the County of Santa Cruz.
