a super interesting set of tunnels Tino - the first parts are damn near ready for one of your film productions as a film set, now that would be cool, have dozens of your finest dressed in correct gear running round like headless chickens the weapons stash was rather nice to see, and the various groups all coming together to one goal in mind, to restore and show future generations, these tunnels really show the complexities, complete with cables to all parts of the complex, amazing, hard to always imagine in some of the other systems you have visited, thankfully the scrap man hasn't been allowed here, but again the aerial track system for moving munitions etc gives all the answers to other complexes you show on your channel, mind blowing, no wonder the scrap man got into so many and had a field day later it becomes more of a giant 3d zig saw, what goes where

The parts around the 58 min where you're looking at actual battle damage on both sectors where only the grenade shoot is left intact.. I believe these walls were targeted on purpose. My reason being for this is because it's not a fool solid wall because it has grenade pipe running through the wall which would make it weaker to attack... It's just strange how both exact parts of the wall were hit in both grenade launcher parts... It's just something I noticed... However I could spend days weeks walking around this underground fort and even then you wouldn't get to see 100-percent.. yet again to know thank you very much great film. I like this French guy. I've seen him in many of your other videos . Very very French accent 😁. He Knows his history especially French fort history...🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

This particular area of France with its history of its inhabitants being drafted into French, then German, and then French armies again is so important to preserve this history. These fortresses tell the story for them and need to be maintained. Time, your suggestion that U.S. WWII reenactment units should be tapped to come over and help with the restoration is a great idea. I know I could speak for my unit of the 1st SS Panzer unit that I could easily organize 20 or more volunteers who would love to deploy to France and help with this important work. I need a P.O.C. for the fortress to organize.

Star Forts - now there's a subject in need of examination. They stretch from the US to Russia and Japan, though the greater majority are to be found on the European mainland. Some are in such good condition they look like they were built yesterday, some are so trashed they're barely visible as anything more than a vague shape in the dirt. They're also the subject of one of the more weird theories about history, so a good explanation and examination would be useful to history in general.
@NotMe-hm2zd Жыл бұрын
Star forts are always on my radar and they are very intriguing but I'm not aware of the significance or contention or mystery they hold on history. Can you explain a little more please. Thank you.

Yes I'm pretty sure several parts of some of the Maginot Line forts or still in active use a source some of the Munitions storage bunkers still in use in most of the former warring countries

If the Germans attacked this head on would they have overcome it eventually? Or just be destroyed as a fighting force?
@drstrangelove4998 Жыл бұрын
Yes, they’d have overcome it. But at what cost, and what was the point. It was surrounded and neutralised. And when they surrendered on the armistice, it was still in a good condition for the Germans to use. They saluted the French soldiers when they came out too.
