Amazing Free Camp on the Eyre Peninsula - Port Lincoln, Cowell, Whyalla Fitzgerald Bay.

This week we continue our Big Lap adventure in South Australia and explore the area surrounding Port Lincoln. We visit Point Boston and find a stunning beach to have all to ourselves. We head out to the Lincoln National Park and check out September Beach. We were lucky enough to see seals while we were there. www.parks.sa.gov.au/parks/lin...
We drove out to Glen-Forest Tourist Park with our friends from Port Lincoln, the kids had a great afternoon hanging out with all the different animals that they have there. You can pre-purchase tickets online visitglenforest.com/ Between the Tourist Park and Port Lincoln is Winter Hill Lookout which provides stunning views of the city.
We head back towards Coffin Bay to check out Coffin Bay National Park. We head to Almonta Beach before trying to check out the rest of the park. Unfortunately the tracks were too tight for our car and it was getting on in the day so we turned around. www.parks.sa.gov.au/parks/cof...
We left Port Lincoln and headed up the East Coast of the Eyre Peninsula. Our first stop was Cowell. We loved this town, there is a free water park, play ground, bouncing pillow and skate park which the kids loved. We found out after leaving that there are some delicious cheap oysters available there too. www.eyrepeninsula.com/cowell
We stopped in at Whyalla and checked out the circular jetty (www.whyalla.com/) before we moved onto Fitzgerald Bay, one of the best free camps we've stayed at (southaustralia.com/products/e....

Thanks for joining us! It’s so great to hear where you’re from, we have Scottish heritage and hope to get to explore there one day! Port Lincoln was awesome, we didn’t think we’d stay as long as we did and yet wished we could have done more there. Highly recommend a visit to South Australia’s coastline during summer if you get the chance. We were blown away! Hope you enjoy the other vids. Thanks so much Tom, Alec had a ball. The balloons didn’t last as long as usual in the van, no space but the shower cavity was handy storage until the bedtime routine 😝 the great thing about a KZbin channel is having a record of where you went to every 3-4 days, sometimes longer. How quickly we forget! Glad you enjoyed the episode and hope you’re doing well.

You found some great towns and camping spots there; I might use your itinerary for my next trip into SA 🙂 It is a pity more towns are not as van Traveller friendly as Cowell seems to be.........well done Cowell council and citizens.

So glad it was useful to you, we really loved SA. Hidden gems everywhere. Couldn’t agree more about Cowell, it’s a smart move for the council/ community as the travellers inevitably spend more enjoying the area, pubs, shops etc. We definitely do anyway. Safe travels!

We have been absent from watching You Tube as we have been on our own travels since early February but heading home to Perth now with our new ERV caravan . Have just managed to catch up on a few of your recent videos as we are heading north to Ceduna . We are camped at present at Woolshed free camp . With all that prattle we would just like to say how we really do enjoy your informative , interesting but also real videos …… one of the best we feel . Well done with your presentation .

We enjoy having the memories to look back on too as it’s so easy to forget where you’ve been and what you did when you’re moving so regularly in the caravan. Congratulations on your new van, that’s very exciting! Do you have more travel planned with it after returning home to Perth? We’ve been blown away by the opportunities owning a van has given us to see the countryside instead of just returning to our usual favourite holiday spots.
