Can’t wait to make this John. I lived in SoCal for 32 years, before moving to Nevada, and there was a specialty pie shop there that made French Silk Pie. When they went out of business during the recession I almost cried because I couldn’t get this pie any more. I’ll bet yours is just as good if not better. Love your cookbook masterpiece!! My favorite of the year. I read it from cover to cover. Congratulations on this beautiful book. I also loved your filmed trip to NYC with the boys. What a bunch of cuties!!

Thank you for working on this recipe and making this video. I followed the original recipe for this pie twice before and could never get it to set quite right. Your recipe is huge improvement on the original in so many ways. It’s faster and leaves hardly any room for error. I had never heard of French silk pie until I went to Chicago to visit some cousins when I was in middle school. We went to the Pie House and my cousin told me to order it. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I had never had anything so delicious before. It is the best pie that has ever been invented.
