John, learned this from an Italian Grandmother ❤️. You can take room temperature cream cheese add half the cream and start beating on low speed. After you see it smoothing out, add the rest of the cream and beat as normal. The cream beats great with the cream cheese, who would of thought. Give it a try. Always enjoy watching your shows. 😊

Pretty sure Oreos are John's favorite store-bought cookie. 😋That said, I've made most of his Oreo recipes and will probably make this one any day now. PS: add 1/2 C peanut butter instead of the Oreos for an astounding peanut butter fluff pie!

This is definitely the amped up version of my childhood concoction: mine was generally Cool Whip and Oreo chunks, which I created upon the realization that a premade Oreo crust was invented. It stiffened perfectly in the fridge. Nostalgia... I just may try my hand at this twist. 🤍🖤

Mint Oreos, additional food coloring to tint cream/cream cheese mixture green for St Patrick’s Day. An idea maybe? Or, another similar concoction. I’m not an Oreo dessert fan so I likely wouldn’t make this or use far less Oreos in smaller pieces in the filling. I usually bake what guests would like so I would make this for a group. It would be popular..

I had actually first found this recipe from the Divas Can Cook KZbin channel and truth be told, I'm glad I did. I love making this for Thanksgiving and Christmas along with a Reeses pie and some other desserts. I always go with the nonbake version (mixing the cream cheese with cool whip) to save time and I love smashing oreos for the crust with a rolling pin and putting in as many oreos as I possibly can.

I think the variation I will try is using Pecan Sandies. While it visually won't be as interesting as the Oreos, I think the buttery pecan cookies would be just delicious.

Every single time I make a graham cracker or cookie crust when I go to take the first 2 slices out most of it stays in the pan. So frustrating!! Thanks for the baking spray tip as no other recipe I've tried or read has suggested doing so. Love your story of the 3/4 measuring cup you found. I have 3 sets of measuring spoons and cups. I purchased my 1st set 30 yrs ago and both spoons and cups came with 1/8 measurements. I treasure those babies because now a days you can't find them. At least I haven't been able to in store. Thanks for the recipe. Think I'll make this using Biscoff... 😋

I would make it with either gingersnaps or snicker doodles. Though graham crackers, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips would make a great s'mores version. Or just leave out the marshmallows and swap marshmallow cream for the cream cheese. It won't have that cheesecake taste, but it WILL augment the s'mores flavor.
