Great job Shawn!!! You are definitely a great person!!! I was blessed with doing a ring recovery in North Myrtle Beach,SC about two months ago for a young lady. After searching for quite a while and not finding it, I asked for the Lords help to show me where it was and about 30 seconds later I found it. I gave the glory to the Lord. He knew where it was and used me to get the back to the young lady.

got a vanquish 340 $60 on craigslist. if you put it on all metal mode it will tell you if its a pull tab , foil bottle cap. and other junk. ,found a junk ring and change so far. , dug many of the targets. and its spot on. most of the time. have a good day.

I found two huge 14k rings and a thick but smaller diamond ring in about 30 minutes on a low lake swimming area in 1996 with a Radio Shack Bounty Hunter machine. I found my first gold ring in the 1970s with a Whites Coinmaster, an 18K England Air Force Base with missing stone.

Can I metal detect near the water when at the beach? I thought anything in the water or near the water is not allowed.

It depends where you are. Most areas in Florida, it is the law, but it's never been enforced. Be respectful of the areas where you dig, and you won't ever have a problem. The east coast of Florida is a little different when it comes to detecting in the water. There's areas along the treasure coast where you'll be promptly removed from the water and potentially fined
