#Gold ring, Got to get the priorities right! I am so envious of your Thames mudlarking. I am London born and bred (first twenty years in Dulwich) and always worked in the city. Every day as I crossed London Bridge en-route to work and home again in the evening I would look into those waters and wonder. So much history, so many stories about everyday life for the families and businesses along the shores. It is a true delight to accompany you on your field trips. I am getting down and dirty (metaphorically) at last. So a big heartfelt Thank you! I should have known that if I waited long enough dreams can come true!

Who needs the History channel when you can enjoy luck in the muck with you, Cuffs and Nic and discover and learn about times past. Would love to see you all wearing sequins like Nic next time you go out mudlarking. I wonder if the ring and lipstick was from the same lady? Mourning her loss, walking the Thames at low tide and not noticing the losing of these loved items #goldring and lipstick. I wish we had these areas around here with as much history as you do. That pendant is so beautiful. What artistry and what an amazing find! I was inspired by your video and borrowed by neighbour's metal detector today. I tried it out on the beach I live near. After three hours and a freezing cold bum I found... a heap of plastic coated wire, half a dozen ring pulls and beer bottle caps and a bent screw. Oh, and an old 10 centimes coin. I don't have your eye, alas. As I was doing it, I was thinking that mudlarks and metal detectorists are real romantics as well as historians: forever in search of treasure. The pendant would more than make up for my disappointing attempt to find something beautiful. #goldring
