Gorilla = 37% muscle mass Average woman = 36% muscle mass Average man = 42% muscle mass Add 10% if you are talking about a trained person, add 20% if you are talking about a professional bodybuilder. Gorillas are basically just big humans.

I just watched a video about chimps that said the "tag, you're it" gesture means "sorry". I know the video is of a gorilla but I feel like that final gesture definitely meant something important.

Gorillas and chimps are vastly different in their behavior patterns. Don't assume what means one thing to chimps is going to be even remotely similar to a gorilla. They think differently, and they live differently. Gorillas, young gorillas, tap each other as a form of play or an invitation to play. That is the most likely scenario. Sometimes they just like to tap each other and it doesn't mean anything. Chimps live in societies with multiple males, so there is bound to be fighting among those males from time to time, for dominance. It stands to reason that "apologies" are more likely to be observed after such fights, as a way to reconnect with the group and show respect. In a gorilla troop, there is one male (aside from the kids) and the group knows he's in charge, they don't challenge him. "Apologies" are less likely for that reason. There's your explanation, Adam Rodgers.

That what happens in the wilderness, you can only trek mountain gorillas in only 3 countries, Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo but i believe Uganda is the best since its safe and the prices for the permit are also fair, have this life time exprience.
