I've been engaging lds missionaries for a while now and this channel has helped me greatly in my evangelism and in my understanding of Mormonism.

I always like James 2 in this regard. I also like when Christ cast out the unclean spirits in Mathew 8. They knew who Christ was before he spoke. This did them no good. Then there is Psalms 62:12. Then proverbs 24:12. There seems to be a conflict among apostles in the Bible as to how a person is saved. So which of these Apostles, Christ and prophets in the Bible is correct? Maybe it is a combination. If this still confuses, apply James 1:5.

Ahh, so works to you, Dan Berry, are required, even though Eph. 2:9 says "not by works." Why does the Bible contradict if that's how you understand James 2?

Mormons do not believe they are saved by works! Read Mathew 17 It says we need Grace and works. Specifically (but not only) verse 21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Christ did not say you only have to have Faith to enter the Kingdom of God. Mormon's are being condemned for believing the Bible and Christ's word's literally! I mean seriously it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the word doeth means we have to do something (or in other words 'works) It is the Bible (and not just in Matthew but through out the Bible) that talks about the importance of doing works by following the Lord's will. But without Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ it does not matter how many good works you do! That is what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches! They do not teach and never have that good works will save you, they just teach what the Bible teaches, having all the Faith in the world does you no good if you don't do something about that faith by, as the Lord says, doing His will, or in other words, by keeping his commandments! Please Read the Bible so you will know what it says! Before condemning Mormons for following the Bible.
