Yeah, I sure did notice that chromatic descending bass line, and I APPROVE! This was really beautiful (including Part 1).

Woah that Eb to the Emi11 chord. For me it's all about how you do a grace note into the 9 (f#) of the Emi11.

A C note won’t work too badly over an E 1/2 dim7 because it is the b13 of the chord and does not contradict the b5 when voiced above it, it will just sound weird because unextended diminished chords occur so rarely that if you did try it it would most likely be mistaken for C9/E anyway, making the cadence appear to be V-V/VI-VI, which you did not intend.

Could you explain the reasoning behind choosing the Eb and Emin chords? Why is this okay and why does it work

I'm not Jeff, but when you're thinking about these reharms, I find it helpful to remember that the melody note is most important and as a result, you can build chords around that as long as it can fit within that chord. And in both instances of the chords he chose, the A fits. It just be like that sometimes.

Great reharm! 👍🏻👏🏻 I really love the chromatic bass movement. However, if I got it right, there is a tritone bass jump from the part of the first video to the part of this video, right? I'd loved to hear once the complete song.
