I love how raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected into what it is today. He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. Really? You've heard Amazing Grace performed exactly like this before? Please point me to those performances because I'm 60 years old and I have NEVER heard or seen Amazing Grace performed in this way. I ran across this rendition about a month ago and since then I have become a huge @DanVasc fan. This is without question the BEST rendition of Amazing Grace I've ever heard. I've not seen any of your other reactions, so maybe it's just that you don't have sufficient musical knowledge to recognize the voice control, breath control, vocal range, and OBVIOUS years of vocal training this man has. It's already a difficult song to sing. Dan raises the bar with a) an octave change b) adding a bit of the metal "growl" in his delivery once he "amps it up." c) a couple of metal "fry screams" near the end d) two key changes within the song (and no, raising an octave doesn't count as a key change). Maybe you should check out some of the vocal coaches who have done reactions to this performance. So please, show me those other renditions you've seen/ heard that are just like this one.

Daniel sang this song the way it was meant to be sung, forever. It is a testimony to the evolution of faith: at the beginning we see the reverent shyness of a recent convert and at the end we see the joy of the son who - recognized and accepted - gratefully throws himself into the Father's arms. Dan is a musical genius - he takes any song he wants and turns it into something better. He becomes the song he sings. He commented that as his faith grew stronger, he began to choose his versions more carefully so that he could bring people only high vibrations of joy, hope, real power and gratitude. Your reaction is the first mediocre reaction to this cover. I am a devout Catholic and a recovering alcoholic in AA. "Amazing Graze" means a lot to folks struggling to stay clean and sober ( whether you are religious or not ). Dan's use of the harmonica (given to him by his dad when he was a child), gives his cover a Celtic feel. I live down the street from a Catholic Church and we hear the bagpipes playing this lovely Spiritual. Usually at an Irish funeral. Check out Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill singing "How Great Thou Art", it will blow your hair back. God Bless you and yours...

I'd like to know where you've heard it sung this way before, because I haven't. Dan Vasc has a God-given talent that he has honed to perfection. I hope you will subscribe to his KZbin channel. You may not like to hear Dan's covers since you've probably heard the songs before, but many are better than the originals. I was disappointed in your reaction as I felt it was a bit dismissive. Perhaps you have heard other metal singers sing this song but I have not. I have of course as a Christian myself heard this countless times and have sung it myself. I always felt it cried for this kind of power but was unable to produce what it seemed to need. This Brazilian metal singer has worked for nearly 13 years to perfect this voice to be able to produce this power and in those high notes. He has stated he is a Christian; he put this out for Easter despite sharing he wasn't sure his audience would appreciate it as he felt they weren't particularly religious. He sung this for an audience who may never darken the door of my church or yours although we can hope and pray they do. Most of his stuff is secular in nature. Thank you for exposing it to another set of listeners. May the Grace he sings of bless us both.

Dan makes every single song he sings his own, and he's so good that I even love the songs he sings on gaming streams, even if it's just a line or two or when it's a made-up on the spot song about the game he's playing. I've been listening to Dan since 9/15/20, and I love his music even more now than when I first heard it, and it totally blew me away the first time. Dan vasc is anything but spaghetti, yes amazing grace has been sung in very many different ways but I believe Dan's version beats out any other version that is out there. This version should be played at sporting events, funerals, on the big stage etc. He is brilliant, so talented. Loved loved loved it❤

It's a shame you don't really like this, or have meh feelings for it. As a pastors kid I've heard Amazing Grace SO many times in many many ways and I really find this to be the best one I have heard, the build up and power that he quietly and then forcefully lets out, just beautiful! Like I could listen to it on repeat and not get tired of it. Everytime I hear Dan Vasc do this I can never reach the end without tears in my eyes. He covers this song with brutal power. And Kudos to the OP for not interrupting the song every 30 seconds with jaw flapping. Was great to see him just sit there and absorb it rather than talking it away.

Glad you liked this ONE of many songs from Dan Vasc but your reaction was a bit, how shall I put it nicely... disappointing and you were not reeeeaaally giving Dan the Respect he deserves (which has nothing to do with how many reactions you have to do or not). Dan is an AMAZING artist and one of the best I have EVER heard in my 60yrs growing up with all kinds of metal, Dan Rocks!!!
