I too had a tumor in the very back of my pallet. I was stage 4 and told I would die... but I never believed it because my children were young at the time. The ongoing complications from radiation through the years are tough!! But it’s good, I’m here. 18 years later, have issues but I got to raise my kids and now have 2 young grandchildren to love.

This was my grandmother's favorite song. She was a God-fearing, old-lace teacher who later was a librarian. In January I go in for an operation to remove the necrosis I developed while going through treatment for my throat cancer. I have quietly followed your story until today . . . had a meeting with my surgeon earlier today. It is my fervent hope I can remain as positive as the example you have set.

Thank you...I lost my husband last year and its been hell...your singing has given me hope...I have found when a spouse dies ppl tend to stay away...its always, "anything I can do to help, just call"...but if you do call, they are too busy to talk...they dont want you around...you are left alone...and I know the same goes for someone who has any disease...you are left alone for the most part...thank you for your beautiful voice and the spirit to go on

I find this very inspiring. This woman's ability to over come hardship and even sing praise to God in the midst of her struggle is nothing short of impressive. I complain about my life to much. Hey Ely you always been a good hearted, strong will person. Your voice and beauty still cease to amaze me. Tragedies affect us all, but its us who controls how it affects us. Sorry for your loss, give your brother and mother my condolences as well. I recently cut part of my finger off a week ago. its slowly healing. Luckily I have full function of it. But looks about like your leg. But went to work the very next day doing what I love and what I am great it regardless of the injury. Used the same saw the next day that had taken my finger the day before. Have had a circular saw go into my leg 3in L x 1/2 in deep as well. Your welcome to call / text anytime.
