I want to thank everyone who helped me.
We had a really great time doing it and almost no one was injured (except for a colleague's broken arm).
When I look back, I see that a lot of work has already been done but I also have a lot to do.

Great work, don't like the use of heavy equipment though but this isn't really an off-grid build used for homesteading and looks nice. I had to go the route which I'm capable of fixing my cabin without modern equipment or infrastructure.

What about maintenance of shuch house? Need annually paint, roof as well need repaired every year
@kingterry6045

Paint? Roof Repair? They might do wood scorching to preserve the siding but logs will be there for 100's of years with nothing on them, you don't need to paint a log cabin. Roof repair? Unless damage happened or poor construction the roofing should last a good 30+ years, I haven't even touched my roofing in around 9 years on my cabin even with 9 feet of snow on top of it year after year.

@@kingterry6045 So you wish to say that, wood is nothing happen in 100s years? What about ultraviolet, rain, wind, insect, in Siberia i see wooden houses in 20-30 years is fully destroy if not apply special varnish periodically. Same for roof, even natural stones have affected from environment, but artificial tile more amenable to damage.

@@sergeyk7708 There are Finnish log cabins built in the 1800's in America from the settlers here, kind of abandonded now but they are still standing today, same hewed logs still remain unfettered by time. The cabins are around 200+ years old now and is kept by our county as a historical site. "What about ultraviolet, rain, wind, insect, in Siberia i see wooden houses in 20-30 years is fully destroy if not apply special varnish periodically." My siding on my cabin is flame seared and caulked around the gaps, so naturally waterproof like most others. Some use varnish but that's just extra protection and not really needed. Also the wood when girdled and seasoned properly is naturally resistant. Cedar is resistance to pests here in the US. If you're using a different types there are a few ways to easily make them resistant (pine, spruce, and wallnut wood are not insect resistant for example), various types of wood is used when constructing a cabin have various strengths and weaknesses. I have never seen UV light take effect on wood, the heat from sunlight and moisture still in the wood will warp and twist or crack it but nothing else I can think of. I've seen discoliuration but that's about it. The roofing is done many different ways here in the states, some choose metal roofing, some do shingles, some even have moss roofs of their cabins. It really depends on your environment, for me I have a standard tar paper base, covered with overlayed shingles. Wind gusts don't exceed 50 mph were I am and I have heavy tree cover from it so not a big worry here. Before I built my log cabin I went around to look at others for examples, some of them would amaze you on how long they've lasted. You can check out "Dick Proenneke" who built a cabin in Alaska nearly 50+ years ago, he has a famous cabin he built that still stands and you can use today for tourism. Nothing super modern used in any of it ( a little bit of concrete for the fireplace and tar paper for the roof), all natural and has never needed repairs.

@@kingterry6045 I am from Russia, Black sea region, wooden houses here not use. Traditionally stone walls and artificial tile metal. But is somebody use natural ceramic tile very seldom due to every year need change about 10% from total surface. Regarding wooden walls, in Russia use pine in midland, and i pay attention that old houses is black color, some is mouldering, i suspect is old one, due to before not use any protective imbibition. Also i ask company whom build wooden houses, they suggest protective imbibition for different period of protection 2-3-4-5 years and anyway need repeat apply such liquid. So regarding UV and rain even peace of wood remain in open space such wood destroy very fast. Anyway thank you for explanation, in Russia is not famous wooden houses, only for hotels or some rest house for fishing, hantering, for live is not economically. We use stones and warm materials.
