Gavin is a JEDI. He's working on my space now and I couldn't be more impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. Seriously, if you need someone to take your vision from paper to reality, Haverstick Designs should be your first call. Congrats Gavin and Matt on a wonderful project!

Gavin is awesome - he is working on a new room with me right now and I've worked with him in the past as well. Highly recommend!

Really cool home studio space, I'm trying to create my own. There's more emphasis on computers in my place, less space and less rackspace. But a real studio has a generous place for musicians to gather and play without headphones on.

Fantastic space. The sliding tabletop is absolutely brilliant! Also the inverted ceiling concept looks really interesting. Are there any resources available online for more detailed descriptions of that concept?

I had Iso Store doors install the door in my studio, just the single 8 foot tall 3 foot wide door with a glass insert and it is amazing. The family is in the other room watching kids movies and singing along, and I cant hear them at all while recording. Dont underestimate a good door while building out a space.

All of my dad's acoustic problems ended, when he put a huge fabric on his vocal room's door. No echo and no noise ever came into that room again (unless it was my mom's washing machine.)

dont mean this to sound negative because that desk is super lush 100% but i always just have my keyboard on a normal stand at 90degrees to my production table and it's never caused me any problem. i just swivel on the chair. thanks for this studio tour though v jels

It’s really amazing, but what level of musician can AFFORD a project like this?! This seems beyond deluxe, even moreso than many commercial studios.

Thanks for the kind words. A contractor was hired to handle all of the sound isolation details and then the client ended up building all of the interior acoustical treatment to save money on that part of the project. It certainly looks high end, but the treatment is largely built with readily available materials. It certainly is more involved than the typical home studio, but that was by design for this project. We also help clients that have a lower budget get the most out of their room. Thanks for taking time to watch the video. Have a good one!

Really nice space! Any chance of you sharing what the approximate budget was on this project? I plan on having a 40x25 space built in the not too distant future but really want to get a better idea of what I can expect for $XXXXX so I can figure out which way I want to go with things (2 rooms, or 1 room, or iso's etc) before I start involving an outside designer. Either way, thanks! That inverted ceiling was something interesting to learn about.
