Thanks for sharing your experience at MWAVE 2023. I love that attendees get an opportunity to get to know the owners and engineers of the various brands at the show.

It's great to talk to the people who design and engineer the products vs a salesman. You get a better understanding of the dedication and knowledge behind the products

Blind comparisons are by far the most important demo to do when deciding on products.

It was great meeting you guys too. Me and my wife love that 24. It has made a huge impact in our room. I see at least one more in my future. We had a great time. Can’t wait to see you guys next year.

Thanks for the video, Kyle! JTR Speakers had a 9.4.6 system, not 9.6.6. I wish it had been 9.8.6, but I am only a customer, not the owner. LOL

You are correct. I was thinking I may have been wrong as I was editing, but regardless of 4 vs 6 subs, it was still amazing 😅
@MyFatherLoves8 ай бұрын
It would be amazing to see Danley Sound Labs at MWAVE 24'. They have some truly excellent, flat FQ, minimum phase, loudspeakers in their SH and in particular their SM series that who's form factor is perfect for HT. Not to mention, their SM series come in at some really competitive prices.

That's funny, I started with an Onkyo HTIB also, lol.
@garryhammond3117 Жыл бұрын
So true! - I have naver been to another HT, either in a home or in a shop. I "think" my system (a mix-mash of some 40 yr old and newer equipment) souds OK, but I have no other reference point. Lockily, I have a newer Denon 4400 rcvr 7.2.4 and a 137" screen and 4 subs in a 24 foot sq room, but again, nothing else to compare it to.

@@LifeofBliss I will do my best to show up if it comes around the Boston area. or Vegas, those are the two places I'm often in. but I do appreciate your invite. Thanks a bunch.

It will most likely stay around KC due to the amount of product and setup it takes for Ryan with Ascend AV that helps put the show on.

Hey what was the black Sinbosen amp you guys were using on those HS-24s? I remember you saying you had to bridge it to get enough juice out of it...
@LifeofBliss Жыл бұрын
That's the new digital series amps from Sinbosen, specifically the d4-3000. To be fair... any amp running 4 of the 24s would be hard pressed to power them all to their max potential. It was running off if 110v at that as well. It honestly did respectable, but the room was so large we wanted to get more power to them, hence bringing the fp20q and bridging both amps. I'm going to be doing some tests with the d4-3000 in room with 4 subs and 2 subs bridged to see what sort of spl I'm getting with each. Videos to come...
@miscreant1739 Жыл бұрын
@@LifeofBliss I didn't realize you bridged the fp20q as well... wow. I was thinking that the fp20q had a lot more power than the d4-3000 despite its marketed specs - guess not? Looking forward to the future vids. Not sure how deep you'll go on the details but if that d4-3000 can be fan modded for near silent operation and you don't need a minidsp that sounds pretty good for the price.
@LifeofBliss Жыл бұрын
The fp20q does have more power, it's an absolute monster 😉 we definitely brought the power lol. The d4 was running out before the fp20q was with both being bridged. It honestly could probably run all 4 24s if it were on a 230v power supply. It ran 3 in my last place with zero issues and pushed them hard. Pretty sure you can do a fan mod just like the fp series amps, not sure yet though. It's biggest advantage is being 1u vs 2u like the fp series, so saves on rack space
@miscreant1739 Жыл бұрын
@@LifeofBliss I've been giving this D4-3000 fan mod idea some thought and from online pics it looks like they used some 12v 40mm fans from yccfan rated between 20-30 CFM and 50-60 dB. Noctua and Arctic have options that likely work but may still be too loud or not move enough air. I am thinking of using an angle grinder to cut some holes in the top plate and mounting 2-3 140mm static pressure optimized fans with grills. Should be silent and plenty cool, but may not look great.
@LifeofBliss Жыл бұрын
Hey, if it works, I'd say go for it! I will say that amp runs super cool. We were blasting all day there at mwave and it barely felt warm to the touch
