I thought about using flex-foam or iron on fleece for an innerfacing. Also I would pull in the sides a tad bit more. I am wondering if the bottom corners can be squared off also, like in a straight up and down tote bag?

​@@lauratran7638yes fusible fleece or some med weight fusion cotton woven interfacing might do well also. I'm sure u could square the bottom by sewing on the inside, once it is finished, across those 2 bottom corners to give it a square bottom, but I don't think u could do it to drastic, maybe 3" or about 8cm. Then if u wanted it more defined u could cut a piece of thin plastic and cover it with your lining fabric and pop it in the bottom. If u get what I'm saying. So hard to explain in just words..lol

@@sewforlife5728I use needlepoint canvas for my bag bottoms. Also I have use clear plastic binders cut to fit, then I cut fabric slightly larger then my plastic piece and sew a long seam then fold under the ends and hot glue, neatly of course. And yes, I agree about the corners, For this particular bag I would probably do 2 1/2 inches across.

@@lauratran7638 yeah needlepoint canvas would work to I'm sure. I found this roll of plastic nylon stuff it works pretty well too. I just sew a sleeve and slide it in and sew up the end. There's always so many options aren't there. 😉👍
