the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

First I have to say I love the sandals in a shop environment. Second , how close can you get your fingers to a spinning router bit... great shop challenge... the guy with the shortest fingers is obviously the champ..

You forgot the part where he used his entire torso to hump the wood into the clearly dull bandsaw blade.

I had a brief run in with a jointer a few years back, lost several chunks of fingers off of my left hand, didn’t lose any finger completely, I have to say I agree, I’m happy they all seem to have all fingers still.

At school in the 1970s one teacher lost a thumb on a circular saw, in the 1980s my father lost the tops of couple of fingers using a circular saw. In 2008 a colleague was cutting some Perspex on a circular saw and cut off the top of his thumb and two fingers. All had experience with the saws, they just got distracted at a bad time.

I’m impressed by the tools, especially the combo jointer/thickness planer. The bandsaw blade was huge and possibly dull. Good craftsmanship. I personally wouldn’t pick the design, the legs seem out of scale with the top and I think would interfere with sitting at the table, but design is subjective and I’m sure others love it. I enjoyed watching the craftsmen in action. Thanks for posting!
@peterzammit28712 жыл бұрын
I agree from a design perspective. The table top is great. the legs are AWESOME. I just dont think they look good together. It would suit if the top was much larger. Still, his skill craps all over mine so Im still in awe of the project lol

Certainly a beautiful job, well done just not quite finished!! As a life long wood worker I was a little disappointed in the fact they didn't bother to fill in the nail holes on the trim pcs. from the air nailer. All that hard work and forget a little detail like that is what separates a really great wood worker from just a good wood worker. Years ago my high school wood shop teacher would have giver us "C" just because we didn't complete the job!! And he would have kicked us in the butt for ever letting our fingers get the close to that router bit!! I never have believed that running a band saw blade till 50% of its' teeth fall off was eitehr safe or a good idea. Dull blades and the job a lot tougher. Economics in third countries are all about profit and cheap labor, not safety or efficiency.

The band saw would be less dangerous if it was sharp, it's dangerous using tools until they fall apart. Although cheaper. Until you lose a hand or a finger or arm.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship worthy of a Church Alter. But might i suggest nails rather than screws on the cross tenants. Nails are better able to hold up to side to side rocking stresses as were screws are more likely to fail and fracture at the weakest point. God has Bless you with a wonderful talent and a wonderful set of tools to get the job done. I would price this table at $625.00 U.S.

Great job. Personally I don't like the proportions of the table but I guess you know your market. You really need to invest in a couple of sharp bandsaw blades. Not taking anything away from the skill of this guy, not many people could free - hand the router like that.

It is a beautiful table. The only flaw I see is I think the legs are too big for the size table it is. If the top were longer and wider, then those legs would suit. I cant see how you will have people sit around the table, on chairs with those size legs. Maybe only 4 people, two at either end and 2 in the middle. Its not suitable for any more than that. But the table itself is lovely.
