Goku Black does have a point by calling out Beerus for neglecting his sacred duty as a destroyer god, but that as far as it goes. Beerus destroys too little because he's bored/lazy, and Goku Black way too much because he's a zealot. I like how Zamasu's façade almost breaks when he encounters Beerus.

The point of Beerus's job is to maintain balance in the universe by ensuring that life doesn't grow so large that it dooms the universe itself, almost like fighting back against the grabby alien theory if you've ever heard of it. He destroys life that poses as a threat to the natural cycle of things and ensures that new life is granted the opportunity to be born. "Before creation must come destruction". He does kinda suck at his job though

@@professorpingas5796 Very well said. A good destroyer god works together with the Supreme Kai's to maintain a thriving universe. Beerus definitely has failed in upholding that cycle of life and death. A destroyer god who would take their work seriously would have dealt with Majin Buu or Frieza's tyranny early on before the universe population numbers started to drop.

@@JH24821 Thats very true lmao. It does make me curious on what a "functional" universe looks like! I think it was universes 5, 8, 1 , and 12 that were going to be spared originally before the ToP changed things. Twin universe numbers add up to 13, so there were only going to be two pairs left. Those universes sound like interesting spots to visit.
