Jeff, I agree. I was thinking the same. What I like Kuga san’s production is that Kuga san does not use background music. That would have interfered the actual sonic experience that Kuga san captures so that viewers can experience it.

I live on an island in Sweden called Gotland, and we also have a ferry between Gotland and the mainland Sweden. Our ferry takes 3 hours, so in the cabins, we pay extra for them, we only have sofas and a very small table, a toilet with only a shower. No beds. You can rest on the sofa so you are rested for maybe a long drive upon arrival. Last year we were in Japan and loved it! We took the ferry to Busan, South Korea, though. It also took 3 hours. We so want to come back to Japan!! :) Thank you for sharing this comfortable video!

Thank you for bringing us on another trip. The Japanese-style room seems very authentic. I enjoy it when you show your foods and describe the tastes, even for tea back in your room. I have only ridden the ferry to Mackinac Island, in Michigan. The Island does not have automobiles (they use horses and bikes) so the ferry is much smaller than yours. Mackinac Island is small but I recommend that you visit it.

I live in California, United States. I've only been on a few ferries, but it was no different than riding on a bus. The one you showed was like a luxury hotel -- on water! I could get used to that easily. My most memorable ferry ride was from San Diego to Coronado Island. No biggie, maybe a half-hour trip. But the new Coronado bridge had just been built, and this was the last trip, after which ferry service ceased forever, the end of an era. It was August of 1969 and had just begun a 50-year career as a professional musician. Folk music was the rage, and I had my guitar with me, of course. We all sang the whole trip out, and it was terrific fun. I've been on boats since, including a few gigs on yachts, but that had to be all-time. A ride on your boat would certainly top that, in terms of pure enjoyment, but could never be as memorable. "Ah, for the open sea, mate, That's the life for me. Ah to be a bum with a barrel of rum, Spend all o' me life carefree! Ah for the open sea, mate, That's the life I love. Lass on me arm, She's a bonnie schoolmarm, Naught but the stars above." ---(By me, just now, ASCAP but who gives a fig. Have fun with it if you like.)

You really enjoy life Kuga-san. If you ever visit Scandinavia in future i recomend to use one of the ferrys between Stockholm and Finland or Estonia. Or the ferry between Gothenburg - Kiel in Germany. In those ferrys you also can enjoy a little bit of night-life. If you are lucky you mait find a soul-mate there ;) Trainmaneger Lasse from Sweden.

Another nice video mr kuga san. I can imagine the feel of riding these ships to and from Hokkaido passing the tsugaru straits over the seikan tunnel where the hayabusa shinkansen trains are literally passing thru while we are sailing above ⛴️🚅🚄. 1,000,000,000% awesome. Safe travels and blessings mr kuga san and blessings to all the people and the nihongo workers that poured their heart and souls into the making of the kanmon and seikan tunnels of nihon, bringing nihon into one🙏📿✝️⛪️🇯🇵.

Here, a ferry is a barge you drive your car onto and sit in a cramped airport style waiting room, drinking bad vending machine coffee and hoping it goes by quickly. In Japan, apparently Ferry means cruise liner! These are amazing!

I love your videos. On my visit to Japan in June,2019 ,I did make trip to Sapporo and visited Otaru. I have seen this ferry at the Otaru Port and I remember the overcast afternoon and relishing the sight of this very ferry over 2 cans of Asahi beer sitting in a park. Later on from Mainland Japan, I made a day trip to Niigata. Such a coincidence that this ferry operates between these destinations. I will definitely visit Japan again. Wish O could share the pics of the Ferry with you. Looking forward to your newer episodes through Japan🙏

Excellent video. I don’t live near a ferry. I live in Chicago, USA. I travel to work on a commuter train. If I travel to a far away city, I take an airplane. I’ve only been on a short ferry ride in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I was so impressed with the luxury and design of the interior of your ferry. I would assume this is very upscale compared to most ferries in the world. Thanks again!
