Omg really??? They went smart on this bday. I love how the Bday outfits drops every year on her birthday and are different in LN and SN and IN tho the bday is the 06/12/24. They always put a lot of thoughts and creativity. Also, many outfits from previous games seems to be unofficially reworked, seeing new outfits reminding you of previous ones brings you nostalgia too

Nikki vet here, in LN evolutions were for 4stars and 5 stars, dupes of the clothes are required, usually by crafting or buying in shop (depending on the outfit, some outfits are only obtainable via buying dupes with a specific currency linked to a diff gameplay), you only get one new variant color nd it's the max. In SN all rarities have an evolution but the cost changes depending on it. 3 stars are cheaper (we use keys to unlock nodes, there's maximum 5, unlock the third one to be able to evolve your Designer Shadow which you need a dupe of to unlock the recolor, usually the hardest to get since it depends on luck but you can craft them for free by decomposing the Designer Shadows you have in multiple copies), you only get one new color too via this method. You need keys (daily farm very easy), Designer Shadow dupe and obtaining the full outfit for that. We also have special recolors too, kinda like a third color, you can earn shards of the new color by participating in the Ocean Arena weekly, it has an accessory with it which you unlock at node one, there's 5 nodes. Drops is used to unlock the nodes, it augments the item's styling power, the more you unlock the nodes the more power it gets. These clothes are usually top scoring items. You just need to own the specific item to unlock it, no need for the full outfit. Similar to the skill tree in Infinity Nikki. Note they might add more game mechanics later on like we had for Shining Nikki in the beginning. Global came much later, life on the Taiwanese server (first one to be released) was very different and hellishly time consuming. Horro stories in the first year, so you can expect new game mechanics to come later on and fixes on cost/gameplay.

Oh so new skins are gonna be able to replace standard free ability outifts which will make people pull for it i think if they dont like the original abilitiy outifts like the butterfky replaces the floaty sailor one and standard ice one replaces attack one (though i wish it changed the effects from green to icey blue but whatever)

As far "dress up"...no...NIKKI will be a new trend...by I the I was away from Genshin for awhile but now Im back...that's life and freedom to choose...no need to make it hard on ourselves. Long time Nikki player here, they did such an incredible job on Infinity Nikki, seeing Nikki grow every year is fulfilling and awesome.
