Amazing Mayon volcano eruption in the Philippines!

Extreme storm chaser and videographer James Reynolds of TyphoonFury.com traveled to the island of Luzon in the Philippines to document the ongoing emissions from Mount Mayon, which is an active volcano (obviously!) and has been spewing lava for several weeks!

volcanoes fascinate me and scare the shit out of me at the same time. i love the mixture of beauty and danger. this went on for several weeks? wow! this question is for anyone, is that typical of volcanoes in general? movies give the misconception that volcanoes are BOOM and then done, so im curious about real life volcano info. time to go to the library

@ HOLYROLLER478 can you imagine the evacuation zone and the chaos yellowstone would create if it decided to get mad? the amount of lava and the sheer size of the yellowstone caldera just boggles the mind to think what would happen if the entire area erupted at once. anyone in a 50-100 mile radius would be vaporized by the heat,debris flow or just from freezing to death from the sun being blocked out for months on end, thousands more would die in the weeks following eruption from ash cloud.
