Hello Sir, I just found your channel. You are fantastic! I love the sounds of the birds and such in the woods!! I am getting old and broke my neck 6 years ago so my hunting and hiking days have come to an end. I was an avid Artifact hunter in my prime, I have a fairly extensive stone artifact collection. Always ment to start metal detecting but never got the chance. Thank you for making videos! They allow me the chance to virtually experience the rush of a find! Nothing like that feeling of knowing you the first human hand to hold since the guy who lost it! Thanks again and keep on detecting!

Wow! This is the best live dig I've seen of Hans' so far. That ring is absolutely epic and it's always cool to see his eyes grow wide with excitement at his find. May I ask if that ring is in a museum now? Still the best channel going and I'm looking forward to the next mystery hole installment.

Having a smile at the wonderfully organised, tidy, methodical detectorist. Everything is so clean and well ordered. Even when you dig, and how you treat your finds. You pretty much are what a German detectorist should be. I, on the other hand, am a British detectorist. Most of my kit is a bit tatty and my detector only ever gets washed off in puddles of rainwater. My clothes are an ill-assorted bunch of garments I also wear in the garden. In short, I look like a beggar but with a detector. lol

why does this channel have so little subcribers? he is so natural and the whole video, ends up being so satisfying. this should be much higher.

What excellent videos you make ! I just love the continuous sounds of the forest, and the obvious joy you take in your hobby. Did u ever find out if the carved stone in the gold ring is a ruby or garnet ? It’s so beautiful - what a find !

I'm very happy to hear that :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment about my videos! I gave the ring to the head archaeologist of the dig but unfortunately he never gave me any information about the ring. I quitted to ask... all the best, hans

@@TerraGermaniaTG Actually I would say it's a Minie Ball. Named after it's inventor, Claude-Étienne Minié. *edit* I know this is long after the fact and I do see upon scrolling through the comments that it has been pointed out.

wow Hans. (findet man sehr oft)

Hans...did I not say on my comment on your last video that this was going to be your year, and a gold one at that! What a terrific gold ring! You have permission to go ahead and get excited because this year is far from over my friend! Awesome scissors too, and that ax head didn't look all that new to me...I'd guess early 1800's by the shape. Of course in your country that's not old....is here though. Congrats again on all your finds!

Hans you have done it again my friend and you are the best of us, some nice interesting Iron finds again and those dreaded Pewter Buttons do get you going as do the thin ones that always make me think I have found a Hammered coin :-( WOW Hans that Medieval Gold Ring is just the best find you could ask for. Never found a ring myself but if your going to find one then why not find a Medieval one absolutely fantastic and felt your joy and excitement on that find, well done indeed :-) I found a boot heel plate in my woodland area I think last year and I thought it was from a tiny horse at first too. Thank you as always Hans for making such a great video and saving History my friend. ATB GL & HH LittleJohn Metal Detecting
