Hi Andrew. I have an odd question about this product. I have one that I would like to use as a tiny monitor for my Osee GoStream live video switching deck. I bought a 12v dc to ac wall cord in hopes that I can use it for long streams. It is not powering on, though. Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Well you will have to hold down the power button for a few seconds longer than you'd think. I sometimes think it's battery is dead but I just didn't hold the power button long enough. But mine has always powered on! Hope this helps!

The smaller batteries don't last a long time (I'm guessing maybe an hour) but you can get larger NP-F batteries that will last a very long time.

Do the menus stay up on the screen or disappear after a short time?

If you tap the screen it goes away and if you tap it again it will pop up again.

I have one for my R8..so far not good...Because the touch screen for spot focus is lost on the monitor..so i cant get it to focus where I want with my R8..ugh!

Hey man! Thanks for the review! Does your smallrig monitor mount have a locating pin? If so, does it fit into the locating pin holes on the bottom of the monitor? I've heard that the locating pin holes on the monitor may only work with the mount that it comes with. Thanks!

Yeah I don't think it's an exact fit but it's very close and does work! The monitor has never rotated while on the SmallRig mount!

I've used it outside in the middle of the day and it's bright enough! A lot brighter and you deal with noisy fans or overheating which isn't a great trade of in my opinion.
