The map looks amazing. I've never really been a fan of Kenworth the first truck I ever rode in was a Peterbilt 379 no cabover. First mistake I ever did was touch the exhaust when it was hot, but when I was that young I didn't know what it was.

@@REALjohnmosesbrowning I understand that, but it's definitely not worth $20 for one truck... even $20 for the Alaska map is pushing it, considering it's not even the entire state; it's just small areas of the state.... I'd definitely say somewhere between $2 to $5 for the truck would be worth it, especially since that would draw in a LOT more peopel buying it in comparison to how many will buy it at $20 But i nthe end, $20 is stupid high for the map... as when the developers themselves finally make it to Alaska, it's gonna be WAY bigger (and better) and cost the same... or less.

I use 3.75's I think or 3.76 w/18 speed and CAT c15 600hp seems to be a pretty good setup, I went with that after I hauled the rock truck, I got stuck on an on ramp onto either the 5 or the 80, I believe it was the 5 tho headed north into Oregon, that was the only load I've quit on...

First of all, the alaska mod is of really great quality, it features snow and stormy weather, on top of that yeah thats a lot for a couple of roads but the thing with this is you dont pay a buch of devs that made a lot of money with the game plus dlc, you are paying a modder that did amazing work and deserve to be paid for it, yeah promods are free but their mods are so good that they should ask money for them.

Having this and the Canada mods means that you can literally drive to Alaska like that one video where they spent seven hours driving. The further north you go, the less pollution and population centres, this goes for US and Canada. Not many people live in Alaska nor in Canada's northern territories, population is a factor, like there's less cars and less factories and such, more fresh air and nature that is absolutely stunning.

Is there a fixed body, long semi stretched frame like wrecker/flat bed you can use for a run like this? Loving the look of the map.. Reminds me of my trip to Juneau Ak........ I was kind thinking for the truck chasses be one of a long fix box cargo, but with out the cargo box and a flatbed on it like a wreckers deck. (Sorry not all that up on semi's just here to enjoy the view of the trip along the way)

Unfortunately it will affect it. As soon as the game realizes theres a mod activated it will lock you out of convoy.

You should really start showing the tc count in the console for inside and outside the truck mods. Not hating on you bro. It would just give people a better idea of how well optimized (and/or) how detailed they are, and what impact it may have on peoples performance. Obvioulsy a high-end rig no issues. Some people might struggle though with older systems. For instance: SCS trucks have roughly 600k-1mil textures/triangle count. Jon Ruda's have about 5 times that for external and internal view for his highway killer. Just hit the tilde key, and it's at the top of the screen, just to the right - "tc count" after you enable the console and dev mode in config file.

Nah I get it. The majority or players wouldn’t even know what I’m attempting to do. They wouldn’t know what those numbers are or what the translation would be. Typically my rule of thumb is if you can run rudas trucks and a map mod pretty well you can run just about any of these mods. Rollins 389 is a different ballpark because of the quality and super high res but then again that’s people are paying gor

Stretched frames are for highway, you wouldn’t have hit those logs or had to back up in any of those turns if you had a regular frame. You’ll never see a stretched truck like that in logging roads or Alaska lol

How long did it take you to find loads to take around inner Alaska? I’m having a problem where I’ll only find jobs leading out of Alaska, and the ones I do find I gotta rush them.

honestly it takes a bit doing it by the regular game. Use an app like trucky or virtual speditor to stack your loads in the map. Honestly, that works pretty well. With those 2 programs you can haul and pickup from anywhere.

I can't actually believe they are charging $20 for this map mod. It seems like a lot of the roads are missing because they never put them in the first place. The mountain graphics are really low resolution. I use promods a lot and I've been waiting for an alaskan map for some time, but asking for $20 for it with so many little issues, and the fact no one else does charge. The ground flora looks really good, but it's just the normal graphics as part of the dlc. The Map itself we don't know in which form it is in, for example what resolution is the map at compared to regular ats map? If it's the same exact size it won't take that long to go from south to north. I was tempted to buy it, but I have never heard of the modder before, and $20 when we have other options (there is that dalton highway mod out there which is free and is literally 1:1 resolution which means your driving it in real time and not like you are in resolution the game is in. It still looks good, but it not worth $20. He or she should have offered a premium download service and as opposed to having to pay for next to nothing, and in the mods business for these games very very few charge for their mods.

New to the game, in need of some assistance. Bought this map earlier today as my first ever map mod. Enabled it, put it on top of all other mods. While I could take the "ferry" from Seattle to the new map (landed in Homer), I cannot seem to find any local jobs. I did visit a few industries near the port, but the very limited few jobs all take me back to the core SCS map. What am I doing wrong? Should I perhaps create a new profile for this map? Can someone please help me out?

It won't help you not being able to get local jobs. That's always a challenge. The best advice is to go into your settings and go to preferred job length and move it to the left, sleep, and see how that does and if you get any more jobs.

yes so this trucks creator has a FB group when you buy it, you are invited to join. He has a compatibility mod in there to make all of zeemods payware stuff compatible. So, whichever one you have, It will be compatible with their trucks
