As a Detectorist, the only coin from the video that looked like it may be Roman was the thicker one, those thin coins are not Roman look more like Georgian Half-Pennies.

I thought so at first but now we find that the structure isn't even round. Last night's premiere episode showed the circular part was done by Robert Young to preserve a not round structure below. The Hatch?? Could be.

Roman coins have been found all over along the water courses of several rivers in the USA particularly the Ohio River. The coins were carried over by the Welsh that came over in 574AD. The Kings in Wales were also the Roman Kings. King Arthur II's 5th Great Grandfather was Roman Emperor Magnus Maximus. King Arthur II's brother Madoc was buried with a Jewish Revolution Coin dated between 66AD and 72AD. It was in uncirculated condition. One in a less grade is sold for $18,000.

Why do they not continue exploration in the Garden Shaft during the winter? I would think it would be a protected environment since it is under ground. Even the harshest Nova Scotian winter should not prevent them from exploration in that protective shaft.

It all has to do with permits. Now can they get them to work over the winter months? I don't know that answer.

In addition to staffing challenges (out of town crews and cast need time off), while working underground might be possible, the logistics with above ground support activities during the winter might be too costly or challenging to make it viable.

If we accept the premise put forth in the last episode of season 10, it was believed that they were mere feet away from accessing the horde of gold. I would think that a few more weeks of effort might yield the answers they have been seeking for more than a decade. Of course, it might have been show business hype and they were not any closer to a solution than they ever had been. Season 11 should help clarify it.@@tomburns1572

Finding ancient Roman Empire coins on Oak island is no surprise for me. The "missing" 90-foot stone, which I am convinced exists "somewhere" in safekeeping by "someone" who knows the unimaginable value of such a relic was inscribed with carved symbols that are Tifinagh/Berber which has its origins from before (B.C.) to shortly after the time of Jesus Christ. Oak Island archives state in more than one place that the 90-foot stone was found in 1804 with the carved symbols FACE DOWN in the Money Pit. I have my theory of what the 90-foot stone was all about and what its purpose was. The ONLY way I see in order to find the missing 90-foot stone is for HC to publicly announce a seven-figure (USD) monetary reward leading to its recovery. Once found/located, experts would have to thoroughly examine the stone to verify its authenticity before the recovery is made. -- John
