It is always entertaining when Eden joins you. (Although I imagine her being there may slow some things down a bit because kids do that.) Loved her enthusiastic response on whether to hit it more. :)

I’m very impressed that you’ve chosen to tackle an Oak timber frame project with little-to-no experience. This is definitely Big Boy work and you seem to be acquitting yourself quite nicely! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the honest and real update. The number of times on a project I do something then look at it and think .... done that wrong, nice to know I’m not alone. Hope my daughter is as helpful in the future. Keep them coming.

Another informative video - really liked the book recommendations 👍 Anything similar for brick and general self-build work would be much appreciated. Keep up the excellent work 👍

Well done just keep going. I always feel like I could do it better the second time but like a lot of home projects you only get to do it once.

break the edge of the cuts with some sand paper or a plane , leaving the edge rag means the torn ends are binding and stopping the timber from slotting together

apparently English cats have the same "curious" traits as Irish cats lol. Our cats do that too. any time you're trying to focus on something, they come running and they DEMAND attention lol. gorgeous cat btw.

I've said it before, but if you made the joints a bit looser you'd be done by now. The wood is going to expand and contract so much over time there is just no point trying to do furniture grade joinery. :-/

Not that I can think of. It was a little sharp on the corners of the shaft of the blade but not spotted anything by the handle that’s an issue.
