The territories of modern-day Ecuador were once home to a variety of Indigenous groups that were gradually incorporated into the Inca Empire during the 15th century. The territory was colonized by Spain during the 16th century, achieving independence in 1820 as part of Gran Colombia, from which it emerged as its own sovereign state in 1830. The legacy of both empires is reflected in Ecuador's ethnically diverse population, with most of its 17.8 million people being mestizos, followed by large minorities of Europeans, Native American, and African descendants. Spanish is the official language and is spoken by a majority of the population, though 13 Native languages are also recognized, including Quechua and Shuar. Yeah, that’s all for now. Enjoy this amazing country on the equator. And that guy doing the bird sounds is crazy good. Wow.

@@ecuadorexpat8558 yes. I split my time between an apartment in Quito and my little farm just outside of town. I’m also buying a new farm about 30 minutes south of Tena, so I’m going to have my hands full spending time between the three different places. I don’t much like Quito, but it’s got better schools for my kids. If I could, I’d spend all my time out on my farms.

What an amazingly beautiful documentary! One of my friends here in Australia is from Ecuador and, he goes there 3-4 times a year. He always invites me to join him but I don't know how safe it would be... Next time I will go with him. This seems to be one of the most amazing countries in the world. I'm lost for words...

Such an evolutionary mind set. All that biodiversity came about by chance? I don’t believe it. But that is the point. Ultimately it is a believe system. Evidence and data can be interpreted in multiple ways. Creationists use the same data evolutionists do and come to a drastically different conclusion!

The only true touchstone of the modern shaman is Yeshua, and worshipping the creation is a dead-end road. Nature has no power in itself, and its worship always leads to fertility cults and eventually to the blood sacrifice of humans. The only sacrifice that we humans require is the service that we offer of ourselves for the benefit of the community, especially by taking care of the natural world. If a shaman does not have true love for his fellow humans, he will become a sorcerer.

I don’t understand how some people say that Move to Ecuador is a good idea I have my brother over there he lives for more than 20 years in that country the landscape is beautiful but unfortunately the crime rate is one of the most high in Latinoamérica including kidnapping and today more than ever and the economic situation is really bad is a lot of people in extreme poverty in resume is very dangerous live in that country.
