Ha ha that’s good to hear Weathering can be tricky you can’t always copy the real world colours sometimes need to be toned down or muted in 1:76 well I think so 🤷♂️

Nice job For lead flashing I use silver / grey tissue paper, easy to cut and easy to get to follow the contours of the substrate. Paul

Looks really good. Mortar was often used as flashing material between slates and chimney, more so in a vernacular setting as it was cheap.

Cheers mate in time a separate bus wire will be ran independently to the track feed but 9v batteries can work fine

You will get a stone look more of a granite than sand or lime

I know it is easy to be a critical but please take this in the spirit of improving your model. Before you painted the model you should have tryed to discuss the plastic part join line down the side of the building. Luckily you could have a second try by modeling a cheaper along the offending corner. Regards Andrew Johnson.
