Made this recipe last night and it turned out perfect. Followed recipe without alterations. Accompanied with steamed green beans and red potatoes. My husband slurpped up the butter/garlic sauce from the pan and poured it over his beans and potatoes. Thanks Preppy Kitchen for the cooking lesson!

Excellent tutorial. I learned so much and had it down pat after the fourth time. I had no lemon or fresh garlic. I improvised and used a jar of minced (refrigerated) garlic and a delicious, juicy Caramel Cara orange, adding juice and zest. It turned out fantastic! Thanks! 😊👍

Thank you so much! I just made this and it was delicious. I am embarrassed to say that I never realized how bad my scallops were before! I was using a non-stick pan, extra virgin olive oil and just salt and pepper.

Ooo, I'm from the east coast, have been searing scallops all my life and I find three minutes per side, even for sea scallops, a bit long. I set a timer for 2½ minutes, and then flip and sear for another 1½ minutes, no more. Otherwise, well done. I sometimes soak them in a brine for 30 minutes, sometimes adding lemon to the brine, before patting them dry and searing them. But this is how I generally do them as well.

Not much of a garlic person, can I use garlic powder instead? Or any suggestion’s besides a garlic clove? Help 😊😊😊
@shannonwest7560 Жыл бұрын
Those things are for flavor and you can change them up based on what you like. It's the cooking method that matters. You could try finely diced shallots or onions instead. Just use something that cooks similarly to garlic. Or you could leave it out altogether. You can also use any herb or spice you like...including garlic powder. Just don't go overboard or it may burn.
