The visual identity of this film is incredible and distinctive as it should from the other M:I films. Even tho Fallout is my personal favourite look of these films and using celluloid there, digital cameras this time made sense for the subject they’re tackling, and a lot of the sweeping shots, dutch angles etc. made it all varied. Top-tier stuff from Taggart as a cinematographer and McQuarrie’s shot designs 🔥🔥

I feel like Taggart's work here was lacking. I understand McQuarrie's intent for each of his movies to have visual distinctions. I welcome digital cameras, but this is a downgrade from _Fallout._

No doubt many beautiful shots here but personally really disliked the dutch shots and felt like it was overused. Am a big fan of Fallout but was very disappointed with how Dead Reckoning Pt.1 turned out. Truly wanted to like this movie.

Tom Cruise knows what the audience wants to see. He doesn’t try to be anything other than a movie star and I love that. These movies are always great escapism as movies SHOULD be.

The Entity here was the first time AI didn’t just feel like something out of science fiction but had all the features that AI had now. From easily replicating voices you see on youtube, doing your homework, finances and predicting the future. Tom Cruise and everyone killed it in this movie.

The movie looks pretty good, but I've gotta say Rogue Nation and Fallout had better color correction and cinematography. Also I believe John Wick 4 set a new standard for how action movies should look. This one pales in comparison.

Fallout had more impressive stunts, but I felt like this one was more character-driven and aimed to tell a more intricate story, with the last act relying almost entirely on tension rather than full on action.
