Some isopod and millipede species do have the ability to survive under water for limited time periods. They're known to forage for food under water, but unlike purely aquatic isopods they can still drown and must return to land.

When isopods need to wet their gills they dip them in moisture underneath them. Thus the twerking you asked about in 3:18 :) Since im keeping dozens of Isopod and ant species i really like these videos, keep up the good work. @@nordicants6232 i work with our Europian native species of Isopods quite a lot, so if you want to add some colorful Isopods to the terrarium i have a few isolated color morphs which i can donate you for free :) and since the substrate is the heart of the vivarium, i can add some native Isopods which you will never ever see (maybe through the glass) , since they live in the soil but they will help your other soil inhabitants to keep the substrate fit :)

The isopod isn‘t a terrestrial one but an aquaric one though 😄 Two very different genera but it is likely Asellus sp. Also the first „slime mold“ seemed to be a fungus. Also the slime mold you showed wasn’t actually in the plasmodial phage but already started forming sporocarps (sporangia) which you can easily identify by the formation of those bubbly looking globs on the surface

Nordic Ants 4:55 those „yellow“ ones likely aren‘t actually slime molds but some other fungi I guess. And since terrestrial and aquaric isopods are very similar from their physiology, I believe you mistake one for another

Wouldnt it be alright to raise a group to adult hood and re-introduce them? Legitimate question, where i am from there arent many areas for them to actually lay their eggs and i have noticed a drop off in the number of toads I find. I guess I am asking if providing a place for them to go through their tadpole stage and then letting them go when they are toads would be a good idea.
