No RC hobbyist should be without an F-16 in their hangar ! The flight characteristics of this fighter jet are amazing especially the slow flight high alpha. Use maximum elevator and just vary the power to keep the high angle of attack. This jet also has a good top speed for those full throttle low passes. Powered by a 6S4000 on this flight and despite being over the recommended 6S3300 pack it flew brilliantly. I was surprised retracting landing gear is installed in this jet. Not something you see in small jets but this handles the weight superbly with no compromise to how it flies.
I did have a problem with the water slide decals. I have applied this type of decals many times to other models but these are unique as they also have a layer on top which should be peeled off after 24 hours of application. In hindsight I might not have soaked the decals long enough in water. They need a good 2 minutes rather than just the 30 seconds required to lift the decals from the backing sheet.
Just to add that sorry for some of the wind noise in the flight section of this video. Thought I had my new wireless microphone switched on but apparently not ! Apologies.

@@EssentialRC yeah mine are dotted around house I’ve even had to do loft lol I used keep in shed but the damp gets into the servos it’s cold in loft but at least no moisture I’m in a battle with a mouse at moment he had gnawed couple box’s but with my peanut butter trap for him he will be evicted 😂

Hello! I follow your chanel, great videos and better comments. Thanks to share your knowledge and experience! I have just purchased the FMS F16 Falcon 80mm....and would be my FIRST EVER JET....and now I think I was too pretentious. Im an 'average' pilot on rc for warbirds, like Airacobra Eflite or mustang. But maybe this beast, Falcon 80mm is not the best way to start in EDF jets. What do you think as per your experience. I mean, can a 'pilot' for helix propeller planes, try an EDF like this with success? Or should I start with (for example) a Viper or a Freewing L39 albatros. Do you think there is big difference to start, an L39 compared to this FMS 80mm F16? And second question is, I see you use as electronics, a receiver FrSky X8R, linked to a Reflex Gyro from FMS. Why not for example a unique receiver like S8R Frsky which contains the gyro stabilization in? (all-in-one). Think the Reflex gyro is better...when used with this EDF jets? Just to understand. Many thanks...also to make me reconsider (or not) and avoid me crash this beautiful jet in 10 seconds ;)

Fpv it? X8r is my go to rx also. Except for my small planes I'll use the rx6r. Iv had great luck with them. Only recievers you'll find in my fleet

Analog FPV maybe because it can be light but I only do DJI FPV and this is too small for that. The weight of the DJI camera/air unit would make it difficult, if not impossible, to get the CG balance.

@EssentialRC they have analog adapters for the dji goggles. Probly not really worth doing on that model anyway. Especially since you have some great models already set up. I'm planning on making my flex rv8 and my great planes citabria fpv ready. I have high hopes for the citabria with its realistic dashboard. It should look awesome as long as I can see thru the windows

Was the great high alpha because of good flying plane or more the reflex stabilization ?

I had reflex switched off for the whole flight. I'll do another video very soon to show how superb it is at high alpha. Even better than the FMS Rafale which really surprised me and with a lot more power to push out of it. No surprise with it being 6S and a 70mm fan.

No. I don't know anyone that sells models with FPV. We retrofit DJI Digital FPV air units to ours.

They don't sell it ready to fly with battery, transmitter and receiver. You would need to buy those. I recommend the RadioMaster TX16S or Boxer, Frsky X8R or X6R receiver and a 6S4000 60C lipo
