This video was like a year ago and has just been I queue. Got blue label something w creases limiting. No complaints from CGC on dry clean though

When erasing use the pressure of only your thumb and index finger on the eraser. If you erase too hard you remove the gloss which makes the book look dull and speeds up the deterioration process of the paper since you have removed its protective layer. A book like this needs a proper wash with liquids to lift the stain off the paper. If that is too difficult I would go with a HOP instead. Also its advisable to switch to a softer style eraser when dry erasing.

I'm a novice at dry cleaning and It's always interesting to see different techniques for dry cleaning. I've got plenty of books to practice on! I would have used cotton rounds to lightly remove grit and loose filth from the front and back covers. Then the Absorene sponge. I block off the cover with a backing board and do small sections until I get the whole cover. Then the eraser pen for white areas. Absorene clay/putty? for the spine. Just roll that over the spine, then eraser pen. I use a backing board on the back cover to isolate the ink from the white of the sides. I've found the Mr. Clean magic eraser on the back cover white areas works well, just be careful of pressure. Absorene sponge for color areas. I liked the magazine backing board inside the cover idea to flatten out the side to be cleaned and the end result looked very good. Thanks for posting. Best to all.

Interesting. I've seen people use that Magic Eraser subjectively. Its part of the weapons cache but not everyone uses it. Seems that very seasoned vets always consider it. Cant dismiss results.
