Great video Bossk! This is probably my favorite subject when discussing TVC, and modern figures in general. I loved the unreleased section of the book, and wished it was a even bigger. How cool would it be if Hasbro decided to share more of these types of behind the scenes details ?

And although we did get a Captain Rex with the VC45 buck with Captains Grey and Howzer and a Elite Squad Trooper, he had an incorrect head sculpt, was wearing his Phase II armor, and was sourced to concept art for The Bad Batch. Shame really because that Rex head sculpt from the cancelled Phase I armor figure would've looked pretty good with photo-real face printing.

Absolutely. Fingers crossed they do a phase 1 Rex, and possibly a season 1 Ahsoka to go along with VC92 Anakin and VC103 Obi-Wan. I wasn't too sure I'd like a phase 1 Rex in the live action style. Too used to seeing that wide bottom from the animated series, but I have to say that helmet looked a lot better than I expected. I might have to do a custom on that.

I think they have had so many chances. Doubt he will be released in that form. Bew sculpt needed as VC45 is now over 10 yrs old and is lacking

I really wonder if they're even considering it. Phase 1 Rex hasn't gotten love practically anywhere in 10 years or so, in nearly any of the star wars medium. I really hope they will release one eventually though, they did rerelease the Season 1 VC92 Anakin and VC103 Obi-Wan recently. They even rereleased VC102 Ahsoka, and that's a season 3 design. I wonder why they didn't focus on getting the designs that line up with one another? Not that I'm complaining, the designs they put out look great, but it's just a little strange that they haven't done a set of Clone Wars figures that all line up.

I think Hadbro should have stuck to their guns and continued with TVC instead of changing to Legacy then Black Series. Ultimately the figures would have been the same it was just the packaging and line name was changed. I would love to have a new A-Wing Pilot in TVC, just not THAT A-Wing Pilot. There is absolutely nothing screen accurate about the flghtsuit on the 2007 Tycho Celchu figure. They would have been better off retooling the Mon Calamari A-Wing Pilot from 2012. The flightsuit on that figure is much more screen accurate. Just use the arms from the Keyan Farlander B-Wing Pilot and give it a new headsculpt (slightly retooling the neck might also be necessary).
