In this clip, stern says Eric's the greatest wack packer of all time. However, when the official competition was held, Howard had the deciding vote and he said "I'll tell you who's number one, and as much as I loved Eric....it's not even close it's Beetlejuice". In my opinion, it's Beetle. Beet was up for so much more than Eric. Yeah the whole ordeal getting Eric to agree to stuff was part of the attraction but in the end it was always the same , he wouldn't do any of the bits or stunts. If it was Beetlejuice in the wheelchair and they came to him with the idea of the balloon stunt, then Beetle would probably still be floating in the air now. Guy was a great sport and that's the difference. Plus he made his own song up 😂

If Eric was still alive during the wack pack competition, then Eric would of won. But that’s what I think. The fact that Eric was so complicated is what made him great. He denied being in the wack pack, he thinks his iqs above 90 but he doesn’t know 9x8, he doesn’t want to play a gay guy despite saying he’s for gay rights, etc. I love beetle but he’ll go along with anything ( to an extent). Eric wouldn’t. If he doesn’t benefit, he won’t do anything.

I'd say the top five (for different reasons) were Eric the midget, Beetlejuice, Hank the Dwarf, Crazy Alice (early years) and Underdog Lady. Saying who was best is kind of a toss up because they all were so entertaining. If I had to select one though I'd probably go with Eric because he was so annoying and demanding and delusional. He could fill up many hours of segments over the years and I don't think the others could as well. Also, he changed as he got older, became even more annoying and got into different pursuits, so kept it interesting.
