AMAZING STORM STRUCTURE!! Wild Storm Chase - Canadian, TX 4-21-20 by Val and Amy Castor

KWTV News 9 StormTrackers Val and Amy Castor chased this incredible supercell beginning in the Texas Panhandle near the town of Canadian and followed it all the way across SW Oklahoma until 2:00 am. Large, destructive hail was the main threat, but a small tornado spinup with debris in the air formed just east of the Oklahoma border west of Reydon.

I have to say I really like your style. Val and Amy are so very good at this. I think your banter is engaging, your chase style is fantastic and you as a couple make the magic happen! I've been a fan for years and wait for the notifications that you've posted a new video. This chase was awesome. The rotation of the wall cloud with the RFD and the Occluded Mesocyclone made this a nail biter! As a fan of yours, I ask you to keep chasing as long as you can! I'll keep watching.

@@heatherstub of course I know. I became more interested in their chasing live feed when I used to live in Moore, OK and heard the March 25, 2015 tornado hitting my windows. It was pretty interesting.

I never knew about wall clouds until 5 years ago when a violent tornado struck northern Illinois. That's when I discovered videos of storm chasers. My question is, so many wall clouds look so low to the ground, almost all the way to the ground and wondering how close do some of these get to the ground?

Nice capture guys. I was in Canadian Tx back in June 2015 where I witnessed an EF3 Tornado. It destroyed a barn and injured a few people but no deaths. Was an amazing site

I'm in NE., and when we see storm clouds form in that green/purple tone, it means only one thing; a tornado coming! Things get real quiet, bird stop chirping because they are going for cover.

First off, congradulations for not getting killed. Now...there was multiple points of rotation it seems. There were straight line winds off to the n nw. This storm was very dangers because it became unpredictable to judge where the funnel was going to touch down. This is why it is important to pay attention to severe thunder storm warnings and tornado warnings in the area where you live. Although this was early in the tornado life cycle, debris could be seen off to the n nw. A storm does not have to have a condensation cloud visible to be on the ground. This is why it is important to watch the ground just as much as the clouds. I am a weather spotter for Tooele, UT.

In Texas, I hear the safest place to go when a tornado threatens is the Dallas Cowboys stadium because there’s almost no chance of a touchdown.

Val and Amy, this is the scariest video I've ever seen! It's a "Massive Apocalyptic Invasion of EVIL Currents"! Other thundestorms and their wall-clouds move so slowly that they seem static and thereby harmless. In your video one realizes that these are MOVIE SPECIAL EFFECTS! I always learn a lot from watching all Tornado videos, but this one is an advanced Meteorology lesson. A few times it seemed as if these wall-clouds were ready to come down all the way down to the ground in a huge, violent funnel as in the El Reno monster! This video of yours must from now on be made---- mandatory---- in all schools, including Graduate Schools for their Phd's in Meteorology, as well as, for those getting their Doctorates in Physics, especializing in Hydrodynamics, who, then, have to struggle with Professor Bernulli's wickedly difficult equations! Congratulations on a truly fine capture! I'll bet you all were SCARED TO DEATH! P.S.: I always pray hard for all those performing these necessary and, lethally dangerous tasks---- FOR US!!!
