to those who say the modders did more or better then the GHPC devs you were not there when the game was a vertical slice or even called Josh unnamed tank game the work the devs did on this game is just amazing looking back at how the game was and is now am greatfull that I saw the beginning

while i find it facinatiiong how quickly the modding community has sprung up a lot if not almost all of these mods screams to me "i want to win no matter what" and not in the spirit of the game. as such while i dont doubt people find it fun the joy for me of GHPC is using the right equipment of the time and dealing the hand of cards that you have. well done to all the modders creatign these. now can somone get on and make some truly fictional units avaible in the game and then i may start modding lol (leman russ when?)

I was pretty hesitant about mods in GHPC and like you, I would prefer mods that are much more grounded in reality. But if we look at the modding scene in the big picture, it'll will benefit much more once this game is finally complete.

@SynchroDCS That's possible already with the M1A1 Abrams AMP mod where you can switch the different APFSDS.

I agree. M1 firing ATGM in the Fulda Gap - really (it doesn't do it now)? But I guess until multi player turns up, people can do what they want - however I suspect there will be some "toxic shock" moments when someone who is used to some "wunder" mod is brought back to using historically accurate kit. I'll just stick with Steel Beasts.

@@whya2ndaccount It's not impossible to have some server filter to disable mods or to prevent users with a modified game to join a session. Most games have this feature coded in. Since co-op/PVE is more of a priority, the group can also internally enforce that.

Atlas is working on a model replacement for the M1A1 barrel, not sure if that will break the woodland camo mod

i know it's really far fetched, but i would love a mod or update were you could command troops like in Steel Armor: Blaze of War, and also a mod were in campaign you have to care about logistics like vehicle recovery, supply routes, etc.

Not that I know of, but there technically is a 70's mission in game now. Can't remember the mission name, but you play as T-62's and BMP-1's fighting against M60A1's, M113's and M901's.

Thank you very much for excellent work. I just have one question. I accessed "M1A1 Abrams v1.1.4" and downloaded "M1A1 Zip". After unfreezing the ZIP, I put the "m1a1CITV" folder in the "MODs" folder, however I was unable to activate M1A1 Atlas with CITV when trying to start the game. I would like to know how to do the installation and activation. (Other mods like M113 with TOW, new M1A1 comoflage color, I was able to activate.)

The CITV is off by default. So you'll need to turn it on by going to melon preferences config file in the user data folder.

Delete the melon preferences config in userdata folder or you may need to delete some mods that conflict with each other and do a process of elimination.

Its atlas's m1a1 mod but if you configure all the system upgrades and armor packages when you go to switch units it will show M1A2s

Not really. There's the M1A1 AIM with the TUSK package. Obviously I also don't expect these mods to be realistic either, like the T-72 with a Sosna-U sights. 😂

That's true, M1A2 is introduced in 90s while TUSK is introduced in 2006.

i really don't know how people think modders are doing a better a job then the dev's when all they are doing is using existing vehicle's as a base to add more stuff on it what does not match that already exits in-game in terms of quality it's not like there getting 3D photo scan's of the vehicle's and then building the model off that wacth is what the developer's do with the help of the community if they cant get one themselves . not to say there poorly done as there good attempt's but they simply not on par with vanilla vehicle's. also adding new vehicle's does not develope the game. things like the campaign and UI are still placeholder along with other aspects like the lack of infantry ( i know the developer's are working on them and they will be added at some point ) but adding a M1A1 is not going to change that.

It's probably because people have distorted view of certain games. Most of those mods ended up fixing a game. I don't blame them, as most games fail to support or do better to make the game better. GHPC is a rare exception, and they've been delivering good content and fixes _every month_. People need to realize this first.

Just adding a laser sight to the T-55 makes the M-60 a victim. The rest of Eastern Bloc mods are just disgusting. I have a feeling the designers have plans for a second game set in more modern times. Or at least DLC.

Further theaters are planned as DLC's, they want to finish Fulda '85 first as it lays crucial groundwork for theaters to come.

@@guywhodoesstuff3314 Lots of tank combat took place in the Middle East. That won't add much in the way of vehicles but a lot of historically inspired missions. India and Pakistan had a pretty massive tank battle during one of their wars. A lot of tanks that are older than the ones used in this game.

@@guywhodoesstuff3314Oh, good lord when will people finally shut up about 73 Easting? People get such an Abrams boner over that engagement. A lot of the obsolete Iraqi tanks were unmanned and the US had absolute air supremacy. It's just not the win people want it to be.
