I can't help wondering where the "folds fabric into seat" came from. I mean I can see what he's doing and I know translating isn't easy and apps only work so-so. My mind gets stuck on the weirdest things.

My guess is that seat was meant to be sheet and there's an association with fabric there since in English we talk about thin sheets of dough, for example sheets of phyllo.
