I live in the area, yet when you describe it in detail and passion Jose, it teaches me to appreciate it more.

55yo born and raised on 77th st. The best place to live and grow up in. Up until the early 90s this was the bast place to live in the world. Unfortunately, people from other states started coming in and changed the dynamics and atmosphere of the area. The sense of community is gone. So many high-rises bunched up together. No hello, good morning, how are you. Grim botox filled faces that can't even smile, wearing stay dry Nike active wear with a down coat primarily made for residents in Alaska. Sad.

Great piece, NY has a lot to be proud of, if you watch Ken Burns PBS documentary on NYC, all of the social programs that were implemented in the New Deal by FDR, originated in some way by being tested on a smaller scale in NYC years earlier. It was Frances Perkins who gave FDR a lot of his ideas. Secondly, the Erie Canal opened up trade to the Midwest, you have Wall Street, and you have Saratoga , which was the turning point of the Revolutionary War. And that is just a few of the contributions of NYC and the state.

Thank you. I love Ken Burns work on PBS. He's a great inspiration for a lot of the work I do on my channel. One of my earliest series was the Erie Canal because of its huge impact to the business boom of NYC. Saratoga is on my list for Fall.

Everyone has a dog haha. Especially in the Upper West Side which is right across Central Park. You have so much walking space

That is the same fountain from the beginning of the video at the Lincoln Center. It’s beautiful at night

I've been watching a lot of videos about NYC, and this one is by far the best I've seen. I love that you take the time to actually explain context and show the places you name instead of name dropping like so many other channels do. I'll be checking out the rest of your stuff!

thank you I really appreciate the feedback. I have several neighborhood vids in NYC versus just bundling everything into one video since they all have their own unique story.
