I’m enjoying this series on Iran so much! I think in the west we hear such negative things about Iran politically we forget about it’s amazing culture. Thanks for readdressing these imbalances. To be quite honest, even I, an Iranian wasn’t so inquisitive about my own culture as you are, and didn’t know some of the different nuances that came from different points in history, nice to see you like this beautiful city, it’s one of my favs. It’s also intriguing to see differences and similarities between the Chinese and the Persian culture, I was fortunate to see some of it during a trip I took to Nanjing, but I’m glad to be able to see it more extensively.

Wow, this was a fascinating tour of Shiraz's architecture! The intricate details on the Shah Cheragh shrine were stunning, and learning about the different building functions was really interesting. It’s not Islam architecture. It’s Persian architecture. Arab and Turkish architecture is totally different than Persian architectural even though they are Muslim.
