Oh wow 😮 The views are amazing! The over the cliffs views do look scary 😨 Nevada Falls looks like it is really going! Beautiful capture of the moon through that Jeffery Pine! Lunch looked good. I had to laugh when you went into chipmunk mode 🤣

Haha, it was probably a little much, but it did add a little silliness. The views never get old!😊

I was just there June 2nd - 6th! I was hoping to run into you so I could shake your hand. I really enjoy watching and studying your videos for future hikes out there. This is one of my favorite hikes I do usually on the first day I arrive. I drive up from Los Angeles and plan on doing this one as a sunset hike ending at the Sentinel Dome for sunset. Always an amazing time. I've seen bears in the Taft point Sentinel Dome junction area on multiple occasions including this last time. I also did a bucket list Clouds Rest from the Valley floor day hike on this recent adventure (EPIC!) after watching your video like 20 times. Best wishes my friend!!!

Aww man. You should’ve hit me up before you came. I love shaking people hands 😂. Thx for watching and for the kind words. I think I’m gonna check out tuolomne area this Friday to see how much snow there is in the higher elevations.

You never disappoint. Super video ! Nothing wrong with that hat keeps the sun off. I hate when I burn the top of my ears, itches awful. Nice to see the road in and parking areas so well ex[;aimed. Also, the taft, sentinel and glacier point weren't hard to map out. Salmon cheesy pasta looks delicious. Glad your foot has healed and you could enjoy toes on the trail. Someday you can explain a firefall ?? sounds dangerous. Thanks for your continued efforts to educate and entertain.

Mahon when I took the four mile trail to glacier point last summer in late June it was as high as 50-52 degrees and low as 29 degrees. I don’t think I sweated at all because the weather was perfect and it was nice and cold to cool

Last summer was crazy after that big winter. I feel like every hike I did I was running into snow until the middle of summer.

These two are two of the trails that we haven't done after all the times we've been there in one vid nice.. props on the barefeet hiking. I'm jealous of the freedom but i dint think id like the pain lol

Haha, yeah, it takes some getting used to and building up of callouses. It's definitely not for everyone. You should checview. these two, or just one of them. They are easy, quick opportunities to get an amazing view.

@@theyosemiteguyd yea I def plan to. The only issue is that my wife and I really only like to go when GP road is closed. We'll have to bear the summer crowds or head up four mi trail which I am cool with but im not sure I can convince Mrs Snow to do that in the winter. But she's smart I am not lol!

Add North Dome to your list as a must do for completely unique views of Half Dome. The trail from Tioga road is moderate but maybe 8-9 miles round trip. Stay away from North Dome Gully if you think Sierra Point was sketchy. North Dome gully is a whole 'nother level of real risk for experienced climbers with full knowledge of technical gear and techniques. However, you might like the hike to the top of Sentinel Rock (not Dome). Its second class the whole way and is rarely visited other than by climbers that have done one of the technical routes on the faces. The trail starts off of the 4 mile trail in the talus slightly to the east of the face. DO NOT head up and right to the base of the face. Stay in the gulley to go around the back side. GLHF and be safe!

Wow, thanks for the beta and the precautions. I think I could do something with that. I did make a video last fall where I hiked from Yosemite Falls to North Dome. It does have the most amazing views of Half Dome. I'm always looking for new approaches and routes!

The only way to train your feet to handle tougher surfaces or temperatures is to keep them bare. You managed most of this walk without the flip flops. Why not do the same route again, only this time leaving them in the car? Once you're out there, if the surface gets hot, you will then have no alternative but to keep going. You'll cope, I promise!
