I'm really amazed that basic paint ball tech hasn't been adapted by police and other law enforcement with die pack tech to just mark people for arrest.

They have. They've been using it for several years now. They use them mostly for pepper balls. Some departments have also used them to tag individuals during riots and violent protests. It's to bad that the jurisdictions where ANTIFA is active, won't employ these techniques to mark the aggressive ANTIFA members.

The police have been using paintball guns since the late 90s. The Tippmann Pro-Carbine was the first gun to be sold for riot control and every .68cal "less lethal" gun used by law enforcement is just a regular paintball gun sold for quadruple the price. I agree that it seems odd they don't use permanent dye paintballs in law enforcement. I guess you could tell if people had hard projectiles or pepperballs, but someone could slip some permanent dye paintballs into a batch of regular paintballs with the same shell color and no one would know the difference.

I have seen that I think japan if memory serves correct use paintballs with DNA markers to shoot at both vehicles and suspects, this allows them to go and get the suspects later, they will have the smartwater/dna all over them.

Stop saying everything is a "firearm" when none of these are. A firearm under US gun classification requires gunpowder and either centerfire/rimfire projectiles. This is how people become dumb on guns resulting in people thinking the "AR" in AR-15 stands for "assault rifle". -_- That being said, the VKS pepperball(also known as the First Strike FSC) from the list is by far the best choice in less-lethal self and home defense imo.

It will reflect for a very short time, then the gray paint will melt right off. Assuming the laser is strong enough to burn the paint. Anything over 1w should do.

Ok, you stand there with an air cannon while someone is actively trying to stab you with a knife (which is a lethal weapon) - lethal gets lethal. People act like knives aren't dangerous, but something like 27% of knife stabbings are fatal, similar to the 30% of shootings that are fatal. If you come at me with a knife, or a police officer, you're getting put down with a gun, period.
