Cool stuff! I myself would save the cost of 4g and build a a good wifi/physical network covering the whole property. Then spread cameras around with the network to the central NVR. I'm in the tech business so personally this is what I would do. This is still a good solution for non tech people.

I have Wi-Fi 6 equipment that reaches many of my Wi-Fi only cameras. I use these in areas that are hundreds of feet away from them router or mesh nodes.

I have 4 4g reolink go pt cams. I don't have power or internet at my property and this has made checking on it much easier. I'm only about 10-15 mins away, but being able to pop online to see whats doin is a huge deal. I've caught a few trespassers hunting. The entire property is littered with purple no trespassing signs. The only issue I have with them is they only work with T-Mobile and Mint Mobile. I've tried about a dozen services and those 2 are the only ones that worked. I have to agree completely on the cable for the solar panel. The 4 cams I have a disc that screws into the top of the cam and that twists and locks into the wall mount. I like that system since I have to climb high up a ladder to access my cams.

I have purchased several Reolink cameras over the years, and my experience was not so good. You are obviously having much better luck than I did. Lou from Georgia.

I love the cameras and the idea of having its own connectivity but doesn't it get a little costly purchasing a sim card and plan for each camera?

I use the SpyPoint LTE mini trail cams. Get notifications and 100 free pictures a month with no additional costs. It $5 a month per camera for unlimited pictures. We have a rural property that we aren’t at full time. We have the in the house, and all the out building too.

How do the data plans work? Do you activate the SIM on your regular cell phone plan like Verizon? Do they have their own plans like tactacam trail cams? Or do you do a pre-paid deal like Mint mobile?

Typically all you need is a one or two gigabyte data plan from compatible carriers, like T-Mobile. For me, each 4G camera costs $10 a month in data. I also have several of their Wi-Fi cameras that don't have any monthly fee.

GREAT informative video. I wish I hadn’t bought what I did that I haven’t installed yet. Can you clarify something please? So this is cellular and not WiFi correct? Do you have to run these on their own cell phone number or is it somehow linked to your personal cell phone number? How many acres do you have? How many acres does this camera system cover? I have about 5.5 acres, will it cover all what I have? Thanks in advance.

They record motion, which is actually pretty intelligent, to the micro SD card. You have quite a few options to configure how long and what the camera actually records.

Do you get notifications when motion is detected or are you just checking?...Believe or not ever since they removed the 3g towers my reception has gone to crap any suggestions that doesn't cost an arm & leg?
