This bike is looking great, that tusk cover, the new clutch, and the new transmission will make this bike great on trails. And great for where ever else you want to ride this bike.

Could you have used the yz250x clutch springs & bolts with the extra washer with the hinson clutch for lighter pull on the lever?

That clutch is sick. Can you tell me what the small housing is on the side of the cylinder on the shifter-side of my YZ250 motor? It has two screws holding it on and a black hose that routes down towards the ground along the left down tube of the frame. Mine is venting a lot of exhaust out of the hose and I don't remember seeing that when my bike was new. Thanks man! Keep up the good work.

it from the internal part of power valve, its unburnt two stroke mix, nothing to worry about really.

Great Series Adam, Excellent work! Is there any special caution that is needed when installing the power valve gear? (14:20 in your video) I was looking to watch how that goes together...and then it was on the bike:) Wanted to make sure i had it all lined up correctly, if it matters. Thanks

Your motor is going to look amazing when it is all done!! What weight is that flywheel? I have the 9oz and I like it but you have to bend the clutch actuator arm a little. The bad thing is that this puts the clutch cable at a bind which causes it to wear out faster so I removed it. I noticed that your clears your weight no worries. You do some amazing work as always and that motion pro gear jammer is worth every penny!! :)
@adampaganelli48915 жыл бұрын
Thanks Erik! Mine is a 9 oz as well but I did see in the instructions they mentioned that I might need to bend the actuator arm. It seems like you shouldn’t be having that cable issue. Have you tried contacting them?
@erichildreth75625 жыл бұрын
@@adampaganelli4891 no I have not, I researched the GYTR flywheel and it does not interfere with the clutch arm at all. It is 8.4oz which is not that much if a difference. I may get one of these.

Awesome video and love the look of both the covers! Do you have any idea how different this engine is compared to the yz125? I'm looking to rebuild one of those and these videos are insanely helpful. Keep up the great quality!
@dr00andrew5 жыл бұрын
they are put together virtually the same way, the torque specs will likely be different though. biggest difference between the 2 is the clutch actuator. 125s are on the clutch side and 250s are on the stator and use a push rod
@rundowngarage9355 жыл бұрын
Andrew Schreefer thanks for the reply. As long as they are similar shouldn’t be much of a problem. I wish there were more detailed videos out there. Who knows, might end up doing one myself!

so what was wrong with the transmission? what were the metal filings from? you didnt say in the last video and then in this video the trans is all magically put back together, which would have been better if you had included it for those having transmission problems. great videos otherwise though.

It's a thing of beauty, but unless it's a show-piece, why? If you are riding it like it should be ridden, much of this is just going to get messed up... I rebuild too, but for practicality and to look decent, not be in a beauty pageant.
