@@sandiland0000 except Momo has been in a bit of a temper with food and taking it out on Genki. The other day he grabbed and flipped her, the boys both came to help. I’ve written to a manager at the zoo asking him to talk to head zoo keeper and try to mitigate this trouble of Momo getting enough food and first so he doesn’t get riled. I don’t know if he’ll read my letter on FB Messenger. I hope so. Genki’s mom, Hiromi, was severely injured by her silverback, they had to euthanize her. 😢

Oh what wonderful film ❤ Sometimes I make myself watch films and clips on bush meat and exotic pet trade. Mining and illegal logging. It always stays with me for days and is heartbreaking but it makes you feel even more determined to help these magnificent apes. So to see this little guy healthy, strong, happy and playing really does make you positive of the future for our closest animal relative ❤

I agree. It does no good to hide your head in the sand and ignore the immense threat all animals on the planet are under. Yes, it would be great if everything was peachy-keen and idyllic. It isn’t. The western lowland gorilla is endangered as are other gorilla species. Rangers in Africa try to stop poachers from killing the mothers to take babies, who usually don’t make it alive. Other poachers provide the heads and hands of massacred gorillas to people who think they have powerful mojo. Then the bush meat trade. I’d love to see all creatures in the habitat the Creator intended. As usual,the cruelest species are humans.

That's about the most adorable interaction, Dad teaching his son how to be tough,kinda chillin out a bit seeing son's mom, then the little guy shows what he's learned, "look how tough I am dad" then throws himself down a hill in to soft weeds.

There was nothing so fun growing up as when your parents played with you. You loved the attention. They were big and strong yet gentle and patient. You could ride on their back or gently roughhouse with them. Jabali is loving every minute of his daddy time!
