Dan is so touchy in this video; I love it. Also don't freak out at me because I'm not meaning it in a romantic way at all. I just love that they're so close, and that they're comfortable enough now to put their hand on each other's shoulder for example. Because I remember when they were a bit awkward on camera because of *certain* fans. Idk it's just really pure and it makes me happy.

Dan is so sedate in this video it's kind of mesmerizing. He is truly so zoned into the experience of the meal, it makes me think of the part about that in YWGTTN and how mindfully he approaches the act of eating. We've all heard Dan say he loves food but since everyone says they love food I couldn't really appreciate the reality of it until seeing this and I'm so moved by his pure bliss, and by Phil's consistent reassurances. And just the calm, grounded and unperformative vibe they have here along with the more subtle editing style. I'm also getting to an age where I've been more sensitive and anxious about certain things, and I love hearing them talk about it in a candid way, and just think out loud about life stuff in general. It's hard to fathom I'm writing this five years after this video was uploaded and they haven't done any more... but now that dapg is back and home to all kinds of videos maybe we'll get lucky again 💖

Honestly, depressed people talking about medicating with food and being suggested exercise by the well meaning is such a mood. Yes. Exercise is good for you and for depression. But it's so much harder than healthy people think and sometimes you need a lot of other kinds of help to even be able to help yourself in this way.
