My first review video! I had to switch from nice camera to camera phone halfway through to avoid a damaged lens.
Overall opinion of the cheapest sandblaster on the market? You get what you pay for. A budget tool made very cheaply. It does work, though. Tested on a painted/powder coated steel shelf, aluminum turbo, rusty C-Clamp, and BBS alloy wheels.

The only reason I clicked on the video was to see if he's doing it in the house. I do it outside with the hood on, mask and googles and I still literally get it behind my ear. You need pressure if you want to do anything.

I think you have to hold that gun horizontally to work properly since it is gravity fed. Most shots you had the gun pointing directly down...

Set up a catch container or a really big tote so you can reuse as much blast media as possible...I've heard a lot of people have good results with play sand from the hardware store...but it needs to be filtered to get the junk out of it and have the right particle size...mine was very similar, but it came with safety glasses, air fitting, tank screen and spare nozzle...make sure to use thread tape on your air fitting...hand tight doesn't mean air tight

I just got this same gun for small jobs like refinishing some wooden chairs, removing some rust on small parts, etc. I'm looking for a media that isn't going to cost me $40 for just 8 pounds. I'm thinking about very sifted play sand. First, it's $5 for about 50 pounds. Second, I'm not losing much money from waste. Finally, it's a little more abrasive. I may get some actual media after I work with this a little and get the feel of it. Thanks for the video!

FFS, Don't use ordinary sand. It will break up in microscopic particles that will wreak havoc to your lungs and is known to cause silicosis. Better spend some money and get something like broken nutshell or cherry pit as a blasting media.

Looking at that fitting you screwed into the blaster handle, it seems to be a low restriction style, that enables more air to flow through to the tool allowing the tool to work more efficiently if the rest of your air supply line was the same ID. It doesn't seem to be though. Those plastic coiled airlines are chocking your CFM's way down and along with the undersized compressor would make it very doubtful that the tool would do the job.

I just bought this gun...I think my compressor is underpowered and my curly air line is not helping. It uses ALOT of medium and it doesn't last long. I will say this - when it works, it works well for light dirt and light rust removal and some paints. But, it is always clogging even though I have a filter on it and sift the material. I'm going to play with the setup. If it would just be consistent I would be perfectly OK with it for what I need.
