Just FYI: You said you severed ties with HomeKit because of security and you only wanted Alexa to control your stuff. Homekit actually resides locally on your network, doesn’t go out to servers. Alexa is server only so it does no local control. Just thought you should know that in case you didn’t. The reason you had to add to homekit first is just because of the secure way Apple allows homekit devices to join your Wi-Fi network. Instead of going to Wi-Fi and joining the ceiling fan like we used to have to do it it kinda does it all in the background now.

Great video. As an Apple fanboy I’m surprised you don’t have Apple HomePods instead of Alexa. 😂 I just ordered Hunter Aerodyne smart fan. Looking forward to being able to say, “Hey Siri turn the fan on high!”. I read somewhere that you can somehow program it with a smart thermostat to turn on when the temp reaches a certain degree? That sounds smart. If I can do that I’ll buy this fan for all the rooms of the house!

@@michellerojas8356 they were on clearance at Home Depot. I have installed one and love it. Connecting it was a bit tricky, the app is not as seamless as it appears, but I got through it and I love it. It looks great and really is pretty powerful.

How do you like it so far? It's a good idea to have motion sense turn it on at low speed for circulation or have it run 1hr a day automatically at low speed.

Hey thanks for watching! I love it for the space I have an “I’m Hot” automation for the hot summer days that runs at the highest speed. But typically it runs all the time on the lowest speed to keep a constant draft in the room.

Hey no the antenna should be fine installed inside the housing where your fan mounts to the ceiling.

No turning off the wall power will cause it to show unresponsive in Homekit

What’s the point of your videos being a fast Forward mode. I’d be a lot more substance your videos and quality if you’re too explain it actually is to install the fan. Instead of your aftermath. Who the hell needs the most easiest part of the video which is been accessing the Wi-Fi.
