S.B.🔥🔥🔥I’m currently holding an 850 fico, supposedly we receive 50$ a week for good driving at my dsp. I drive like a grandma on routes, and still manage to finish earlier by running up to every door instead of walking 😂. Take yall time out there, better safe than sorry! If you need work do it, at least until you find something better. Its not crazy hard for a short term but I wouldn't recommend staying there long term.

I did not even one month for amazon. Got fired for having 2 bad days, otherwise i was always rescuing other drivers. The pay while definitely not enough is higher then working for FedEx getting paid by the stop, but it all depends on what contractor you work for. Me personally going up 3 flights of stairs with with bedroom set + the bed got old reaaaaaly quick in both jobs with FedEx being the worst. At least amazon has a cutoff. FedEx you working till every package is delivered or the clock stops at midnight 😂😂😂

Yes I have been with Amazon for about 6 years inside, I love doing deliveries. Yes it can be stressful just the amount of packages and stops. My dsp is cool. I’m delivering in a area that’s pitch black at night believe me when that “beware of dog” I have every flash light on😂😂😂.

I applied for a dsp recently and am currently looking for just info about the job because of the horror stories I’ve heard about. I just need somewhere I can work for 6 months till I can get back to school. I’ve worked as a waiter, and a barista/bartender where I was alone 6-8 hours a day, but I was essentially running a whole coffee shop/bar then. Currently a pizza delivery driver and have DoorDashed for years, so I know how hard driving can be and how essential it is to have water and snacks handy. I just need to make some good money that the day goes by quickly. I think this would work out really well for me, especially since I just need a short term job.

I hate it, I just started last week and I got everything down pack but the time. It’s almost impossible to keep and follow all the rules/parking sequence’s. Had my first bad day yesterday(in my second week) and they’re already getting on me hard about the times but don’t account for if dispatch messed up your bag sequence

I have worked at a warehouse, as an Amazon Flex driver and a DSP driver. The bottom line is no matter how good and motivated you are, Amazon will replace you. These jobs are not designed to last. It's the contrary of UPS.

I find the comments with 70 hours only interesting in the Baton Rouge New Orleans area. Its very VERY busy. So ill be working 4 days 10 hours and possibly overtime

I worked for a DSP for 3 Training days, which I have filed a Complaint with my states labor dept because they refuse to pay me, and One on the road day which I did get paid for. I quit on the first day. My ride along lasted just under an hour and was sent on my own afterwards in a large north east coast city. I was accosted by someone wanting " their package" who turned out had been following me/my van for some time . The banged on the van and cursed at me until I threatened to call the Police. I later did reach this persons house and I was very passive aggressive with him after what they behaved towards me, they got their package. I quit that night. A month and a half later I'm still waiting on my full pay, and filed a complaint. Don't trust these DSP owners, get everything in writing and be prepared to walk away if you feel unsafe or disrespected.

For me the pros are more than the cons: unlimited vto, ploa, paid vacation time, 6 hours of work, free meals ramdonly, free tshirts, life insurance, employee discount, paid holidays, extra discounts, insurance. Etc.

Cons: this is the one job where when you’re done you’re not really done. Rescuing people with less stops then you had is the most annoying thing ever And I wish I had incentives. I’m $21 a hr but it’s hard for me to get 70hr a pay period. I don’t get rescue incentives or guarantee 10 hrs. So my only incentive is a extra hr on my paycheck for a 25 stop rescue
